This rant from OO had tears running down my face.
Christ, I've stepped in this one. I figured I was simply riffing on an Anna Nicole Hilton-Ritchie theme I've been on about. Look, I want to live in Texas, for Christ's sake. I want a GIANT FUCKING COWBOY HAT and a HUGE SILVER BELT BUCKLE that says "DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS". I want to carry a handgun JUST BECAUSE IT WILL BE MY RIGHT as a TEXAN AMERICAN.
Ok, fuck, INSULIN and GAY MARRIAGE. Ok? The superiority of Canada stems from our tolerance of different ways of living and our ability to save people from horrible diseases. No, obesity isn't a disease so put down the fork, fatty.
We did not BAN BOOZE because of RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS. We did enter WWII in 1938 and stayed until it was over without bitching about the length of said war. No one was drafted and we raised a ONE MILLION man army from a population of THIRTEEN MILLION because enough people thought that whatever this mess called Canada is, it was certainly worth defending.
So, there you go. We aren't a morally uptight bunch of Jesus freaks and we like substance over style. The odd part is that the people in the USA who like substance are the Jesus freaks and the non Jesus freaks are essentially devoid of soul and like the sparklies.
