They don't pick their divisions, but they'll more than likely be fighting the guys they're grouped with. I was just doing a homage to the PWI rankings that I grew up with.

And good eye - I want to put the most exciting action on TV, and the most exciting wrestlers fighting for and defending the TV title. There are no weight limits; consider it my X division.

Me: Well, the championship committee and I have been hard at work, putting the final touches on our inaugural pay-per-view card, available to you for the low, low price of $29.95 plus applicable charges! I'm also out there scouting some free agents and negotiating with other owners to see if I can make RWF even better than it is today.

Me: Deciding what two men should fight for the RWF World Television Title was a difficult process. So many deserving candidates, but we wanted no gimmicks in this championship contest - we wanted a straight-up wrestling match.

And we know that these two men will bring the excitement. Both are accustomed to wearing title gold. Both can mat wrestle, brawl, and fly with the best of them.

This just in: Dean Malenko just found out he's not in the RWF World TV Title match, and he's pissed. Rumor has it he wants to show the Championship Committee they've made a big mistake.

Me: The RWF North American Heavyweight Championship is on the line at our as-yet-to-be-named pay-per-view. This title isn't one to be delegated to the back burner like certain other so-called "secondary" championships in recent years. Far from it - the man who wears this belt will always, and automatically, be considered as a top contender for the RWF World title.

So it's only fitting that two former World champs square off, one-on-one, for the vacant RWF North American championship. Though these two men have never fought each other before, their styles and personalities make this a must-see match.

Me: And finally, the fourth championship match on our card... but by no means the least important one. We have six pairs of extremely successful wrestlers in our tag-team division, and it was a struggle to decide who deserved this title opportunity. Do we go with the established teams? The ones with previous championship experience? Or do we use the teams that can physically dominate any team in the world on any given night?

In the end, we decided that these two teams - perhaps two of the most underrated teams of the last quarter-century - were the top two contenders for the RWF World Tag-Team Championship. The difference between these two teams and the rest of the division is razor-thin, ensuring highly competitive matches for these straps for months and years to come.

I don't even care if the same stipulation applies to my foe or not... pin, submission, countout, whatever - I'm not losing. But WHEN I make my opponent tap out, you better give me the first shot at that Television title.


That sounds fair. But, Dean, I'm not gonna handcuff you with such a one-sided stipulation. In fact, let's make it a submission match - the only way for either man to win is to make your opponent give up. And I've already decided who you're going to take on. I came to talk to you about that RWF World Heavyweight championship match you've booked between Randy Savage and Nikita Koloff. While I'm sure those two gentlemen will put on a heck of a show, I'm a little bit disappointed that you didn't even consider me for that match. Why, Mr. Koloff has never even been a World champion, while I'm a former ten-time AWA World Heavyweight champ. I held that prestigious title for just about 13 years.

Me: Your resume is beyond reproach, Verne, and we certainly did consider you for this match... but in the end, we thought Koloff vs. Savage was our best option. However, we also want to get you on the card. This is our first pay-per-view, and you only get one chance to make a good impression.

In fact, given your resume, I know the perfect opponent for you. Though Pat O'Connor was technically the first AWA World champ, you were the first man to actually hold and defend that title. Therefore, I think you should wrestle the last man to defend the AWA World title. I think you know him very well... after all, he's your son-in-law, too.

RWF Live and Let Fight – the results!

Chris Harris scores the biggest victory of his career, defeating Manny Fernandez, Nikita Koloff, and Barry Windham in a fatal four-way match, pinning Koloff while Fernandez and Windham brawled on the outside of the ring.

Scott Steiner defeated Bobby Lashley by submission, in a surprisingly scientific and suplexy affair.

Tyson Kidd upset Kazuchika Okada by pinfall.

The Dynamic Duo (Gino Hernandez and Chris Adams) retained the RWF World Tag-Team championship by defeating the Hart Legacy (Jim Neidhart and David Hart Smith); Hernandez pinned Neidhart in a shenanigans-filled contest.

Carl Ouellet defeated Brad Armstrong and Mike Mondo in a handicap match, pinning Mondo for the victory. Post-match, Ouellet did an interview asking for even more difficult competition.

Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Kane in a last man standing match. Lots of heavy-handed brutality and plenty of blood, Bigelow barely got to his feet to secure the win.

SkyHigh (Bryan Clark and Dan Spivey) defeated the Fantastics (Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers) by pinfall; Spivey pinned Fulton.

Randy Savage defeated Verne Gagne by pinfall to retain the RWF World Heavyweight championship. Very fast-paced, even better than Steamboat-Savage at WM III. Post-match, Superstar Billy Graham attacks Savage in the locker room, wondering aloud why he wasn’t even on the card.

Brian Pillman defeated Dean Malenko by pinfall to retain the RWF World Television championship. However, the last video replay before the PPV went off the air indicated that both men’s shoulders may have been on the mat at the three-count…

Dean Malenko defeated Brian Pillman (c)(w/Terri Runnels) in a ladder match to win the RWF World Television Championship.

Kane defeated Bobby Lashley (w/Kristal Marshall) by pinfall.

The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers) defeated los Sin Caras (Hunico and Mistico) by pinfall in a high-flying, fast-paced match; Rogers pinned Hunico.

Nikita Koloff defeated Chris Harris in a bloody Russian chain match; post-match, Koloff raised Harris's hand in genuine respect before hitting him one more tine with a chain-wrapped fist.

Barry Windham defeated Verne Gagne by pinfall; on the way back to the locker room, Windham appeared to hold four fingers high in some sort of strange, never-before-seen gesture.

Carl Ouellet (w/Maryse) defeated Brad Armstrong, Tyson Kidd, Mike Mondo, and Kazuchika Okada in an Ultimate X match.

The Dynamic Duo (c)(Gino Hernandez and Chris Adams, w/Missy Hyatt and Mason Ryan) defeated Badd Company (Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka, w/Kimberly Page) to retain the RWF World Tag-Team Championship; while the referee was distracted by Hyatt and Ryan, Barry Windham returned to ringside and delivered a crushing lariat to Diamond to help Adams score the pinfall.

Randy Savage (c)(w/Gorgeous George) defeated "Superstar" Billy Graham to retain the RWF World Heavyweight Championship match; Savage also decides the fate of the RWF North American title for the next pay-per-view.

Kazuchika Okada defeated Brad Armstrong by pinfall. Fast, high-flying opener.

The Hart Legacy (David Hart Smith and Jim Neidhart) defeated the Dynamic Duo (Chris Adams and Gino Hernandez) and SkyHigh (Bryan Clark and Dan Spivey) to win the RWF World Tag-Team championship in a three-way dance. Hernandez pinned Spivey for the first fall; Smith pinned Adams in the second fall.

Mistico defeated Hunico in a mask vs. mask match by pinfall. Turns out they just couldn't operate as a tag-team.

Nikita Koloff defeated Verne Gagne by pinfall.

Badd Company (Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka) defeated the Fantastics (Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers); Tanaka pinned Rogers.
