AFC East: New England, Miami, Buffalo, Jets - Miami will be in play for a wild card but will fall short AFC North: Cincy, Baltimore, Cleveland, Pitt - Cleveland will start strong and fade but showing signs of growth; Pitt might be in for a few down seasons AFC South: Houston, Indy (WC), Tennessee, Jax - Jax will be in play for the 1st pick with the Jets and Oakland and SD AFC West: KC, Denver (WC), Raiders, Chargers
Wild Card Round: Denver over KC, Cincy over Indy Divisional: Houston over Denver, Cincy over NE AFC Championship: Houston over Cincy
NFC East: Giants, Washington (WC), Dallas, Philly - Philly won't sniff 6 wins, let alone 8. Giants, Wash, and Dallas all in playoff contention until the final 2-3 weeks NFC North: Packers, Lions, Bears, Vikings - Tight race all season between the top 3 and GB pulls away late. Chicago and Detroit in play for a WC NFC South: Atlanta, New Orleans (WC), Tampa Bay, Carolina - Carolina could be in play for that #1 pick too. NFC West: SF, St. Louis, Seattle, Arizona - There's always a playoff team that struggles big time the following season, I think it'll be Seattle this year. St. Louis comes back and impresses but falls short.
Wild Card Round: Giants over New Orleans, Packers over Washington Divisional Round: SF over NY, Atlanta over Packers NFC Championship: SF over Atlanta
Super Bowl: SF over Houston Bold predictions: We have an undefeated team heading into week 12, and we have a winless team heading into week 14.
I read an article on Cracked.com (great site, check it out) that talked about the rules in sports that should come back. One of them was that teams could defend the Stanley Cup against a challenging team. I got to thinking, what would sports look like if teams could still do that? I went with the NFL because of the fewer games, and if the Superbowl Championship was defended like a wrestling title, your current champions.......the San Francisco 49ers!
02/03/13 – Baltimore def. San Francisco (tournament final for the Superbowl title) 09/05/13 - Denver def. Baltimore 10/20/13 – Indianapolis def. Denver 11/10/13 – St. Louis def. Indianapolis 12/01/13 – San Francisco def. St. Louis
(I didn't count preseason games because those would be like non-title matches)
The Phillies are everything I hoped the Mets would be - a team that plays their fucking asses off for all 27 outs. They're never out of a game. Solly 10/20/09
