[Road Warrior Shark]

Partly because it is Thanksgiving and I'm at work with little to do, but I thought I'd get this one out there.


Build 2 Wrestling Stables 1 Face and 1 Heel

2 separate showdowns, Top stable on each half meet in the Finals

16 rounds so the draft itself should be short.

Normal wrestler eligibility rules apply.

You are building a Stable with the following Slots

Main Event Wrestler
Mid-Card Wrestler
Tag Team Wrestler (2)
Enforcer / Bodyguard
Female Wrestler
Wild Card Wrestler
Manager / Valet

Other Rules

The Dev Rule: You may use Female Wrestlers in any of the above slots. The only real rule is each stable needs one Female Wrestler.

12 hour Draft Clock, so we can avoid some overnight clock-outs.
I miss is tolerated, a second miss takes you down to a 3 hour clock, a third miss and you're on Auto-Skip.


I'm going to send out a FB message to the Ecos, Erics, and others who are wrestling draft guys, but don't necessarily post here regularly otherwise.

What determines Main Event/Midcard status? Is it highest level reached? (Jericho, for example, was a midcarder for quite a while before main eventing.)

You will. When the rosters are sent in, you will designate each slot. You won't have to declare when drafting. Want to use Uncle Elmer as your Main Eventer? Go for it.

Oh, I see. So it's who's acting as your main eventer, midcarder, etc., not "draft a guy who is/was a main eventer, midcarder, etc." Much easier.

2 tag wrestlers to work as a tag team. You decide who fills that slot.

Stable: Horsemen Evolution

Main Event: Triple HHH

Mid-Card: Lex Luger

Tag Team Arn Anderson & Barry Windham

Enforcer: Batista

Female Wrestler: Molly Holly

Wild Card: Randy Orton

Manager/Valet: Ric Flair

Unless we get one of those really weird numbers where Shark teams make it perfect (7, 11, 15, etc...) My thought for the showdown is a quick and dirty Round one: One poll to cut the field to 4. Then semi finals & finals on each side. So same format for 6 or 10 or 13

Yes. there will be 16 rounds. You can select your people in any order. So if you want to take a valet #1, you can. There is no 'order' to what you draft when

Sitting at 10 now. I'll cut sign up off at say... Thursday night at 11:59 pm and get things posted Friday morning

Also, the number of people in doesn't have to be even. So don't not sign up because it gives us a weird number. The showdown will be One Face & one Heel Poll to cut us to 4, then semis & finals on each side to get to the head to head Final.

Are you saying the first poll ill be something like 11 heel stables and only 2 or 4 advance? Because if so, that fucking sucks. I get you want it to be quicker and easier, but that's a disservice to the draft I think. Just do a regular tournament format and if you need shark teams to fill it out, so be it.

I'd rather see a full bracket too, Sharky. It'd be a shame to go through the draft process and get eliminated before making it to a showdown.

Why not make it a pick-8-of-11 for the first round to weed out the "least favorite 3", then head-to-heads after that?
