Just in case anyone was curious, here were the final two cards I was working toward. I would appreciate any feedback on what I was doing overall and my writing. It was fun. Thanks.
Trump Wrestling Association (TWA): Even Odds
The Rock and “Soulman” Rocky Johnson vs. “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig and “Better Than Perfect” Joe Hennig
Shawn Stasiak vs. Mark Jindrak with Sunny in a neutral corner
TWA Tag Team Title Match: Strike Force (c) (Tito Santana and Rick Martel) with Stacy Keibler vs. Faces of Fear (Barbarian and the Warlord) with Bobby “the Brain” Heenan
R-Truth vs. Col. DeBeers
The Big Show vs. “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin
Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Marc Mero
Preshow dark matches
Marty Jannetty vs. Vladimir Koslov
Badd Company (Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond) vs. the Natural Born Thrillers (Chuck Palumbo and Mike Sanders)
The Mighty Igor vs. the Warlord
Show summary
Segment 1: The Rock starts off the show in the ring and demands Curt Hennig face him right then right there for the TWA Title. Hennig and Heenan come out and protest Rock being number one contender since he won last week by count out.
Donald Trump comes out and says the match will happened at the next show, Winner Takes It All. It’ll be a throw in the towel match. Each man must choose a second to be at ringside. The loser is the man whose second throws in the towel and concedes the match on their behalf. Rock chooses his dad, Rocky Johnson, and Heenan says he’ll naturally fill the role for Curt.
Segment 2: Jake Roberts keeps looking at the entrance. The announcers theorize his test for Stardust this week is to see if he’ll jump Roberts like he’s attacked him the previous weeks. Roberts beats Marc Mero with a DDT.
Roberts calls Stardust out, but gets Trump instead. Trump wanted to suspend Roberts for kidnapping Eden Stiles, Cody’s wife, last week, but Rhodes asked that he not do that. Instead he wanted Roberts in the ring and for Trump to turn a blind eye to anything that might happened. To that end, the bout will be a lights out match, meaning it won’t be sanctioned by the TWA and therefore won’t be subject to its rules and regulations. Roberts has to sign a waiver and does. Trump asks if he noticed the other signature on the waiver. It didn’t say Stardust, it said Cody Rhodes.
Segment 3: R-Truth finds Eric Young in the back and asks for a TWA Wild Card Title match. He checked and Young doesn’t have an opponent booked yet for the night. Young said that’s because he’s injured, but he’ll give Truth a shot at Winner Takes It All.
He asks if there’s anything else Truth is afraid of other than spiders. Truth said he doesn’t like heights. So, a ladder match would be bad? Yeah. Ok, Young will make sure to ask fans not to suggest and vote for a ladder match. He also doesn’t want Truth to get rusty and promises to get him a warmup match tonight.
Segment 4: Paul Orndorff comes out again and stands at ringside as Big Show fights Ronnie Garvin. A distracted Show is knocked to the floor by Garvin. Orndorff and Show brawl off and Garvin wins by count out. Garvin takes the microphone post match and says Orndorff and Show should work out their differences in a match and he offers himself as the special guest referee.
Segment 5: Marc Mero takes Jim Clovin to talk with Donald Trump. Clovin confesses that he’s a janitor at Trump Plaza and he faked his way into being a wrestler to impress his 8-year-old son, whose loves wrestling. The boy comes in and shows Trump drawings he’s made of TWA wrestlers, including his father. He came up with the top hat, tails and tie look, because the boy said his mom said the number one thing he liked about his dad was that he was a gentleman. Mero asks if the boy would like to see his father face Mero next week. Mero promises to train Clovin and Trump consents.
Segment 6: Strike Force wins their tag title match with the Faces of Fear thanks to heel miscommunication. A brawl breaks out after the match. Warlord, Ton Zenk and Marty Jannetty all get involved. Trump comes out and tells everyone to cool it. He books a Wargames match for Winner Takes It All. Since the Hennig, Orndorff and Big Show are all busy then that only leaves one member of the Heenan family left to fill in with Haku, Barbarian and Warlord; that would be Heenan himself. Heenan freaks out.
Segment 7: Truth beats Col. DeBeers clean. DeBeers and Koslov do a beat down post match. Othello comes out for the save. DeBeers backs off and asks for a handshake. Othello considers it, but DeBeers spits at him instead and runs away.
Segment 8: Curt Hennig visits his son Joe. Since Heenan can’t be his second at ring side next week, he asks Joe to do it. Curt hands Joe his ever present hand towel. Joe takes it and they hug. Curt then asks Joe to be tag team partner tonight against Rocky and Rock.
Segment 9: Shawn Stasiak vs. Mark Jindrak. Badd Company and the Natural Born Thrillers come out. They brawl at ringside, distracting the referee. This allows Jindrak to knock out Stasiak with a roll of silver dollars from the casino hidden in his tights. He throws them out of the ring. Sunny picks them up, but hides them instead of telling the ref. Jindrak wins.
Everyone argues in the back after the match. Sunny says the two factions should face each other at Winner Takes It All with the winner getting the ultimate prize, her.
Segment 10: Curt and Joe Hennig beat the Rock and Rocky Johnson when Curt pins Rocky. The Rock jumps Curt and Rocky goes after Joe post match and the faces leave the heels lying with stereo Rock Bottoms.
Trump Wrestling Association (TWA): Winner Takes All
Throw in the Towel Match for the TWA World Title inside the Wargames cage: “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig(c) with “Better than Perfect” Joe Hennig vs. the Rock with “Soulman” Rocky Johnson. Loser is the man whose second at ringside throws in a towel and concedes the match on their behalf.
(Joe has no choice but to throw in the towel and let the Rock become the new TWA Champion after Mr. Perfect is cut open so bad on the steel cage that bleeds so much he passes out, echoing how the Rock passed out in the gauntlet cage prior)
Wargames: Mexi-Can-Am Connection (Tito Santana, Rick Martel, Tom Zenk and Marty Jannetty) with Stacy Keibler vs. Heenan Family (Haku, Barbarian, Warlord and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan)
(Heenan is the last man in for his team and submits after being put in the Boston Crab by Rick Martel and the other faces hold the Heenan Family off)
The Big Show vs. “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff with special guest referee “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin
(Show gets into with Garvin and Garvin knocks him out with his Hands of Stone, allowing Orndorff to get the pinfall)
Ladder match for the TWA Wild Card Title: Eric Young (c) vs. R-Truth
(Truth can’t climb the ladder, because he gets scared. Young retrieves the belt, but Truth knocks the ladder away and catches the belt as Young drops it as he falls. Referees Tommy Young and Scott Armstrong confer and declare Truth the winner as the rules state the winner is not simply the man who takes the belt off the hook, but the man who has it on the mat, signaling the official end of the bout. Truth is the new Wild Card Champion)
Othello with Marc Mero vs. Col. DeBeers with Vladimir Koslov. Winner has the choice of spitting in the face or shaking the hand of the loser
(Othello wins and offers DeBeers his hand. DeBeers refuses and tries to leave, but Othello grabs him by the hand, shakes it and pulls him into a Samoan Drop that leaves him lying)
Badd Company (Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond) and Shawn Stasiak vs. The Natural Born Thrillers (Mark Jindrak, Chuck Palumbo and Mike Sanders). Winners get the managerial services of Sunny. (Sunny cheats on behalf of the NBT and goes with them)
Marc Mero vs. “Gentleman” Jim Clovin (Mero wins, but Clovin gets a TWA contract from Donald Trump)
Lights Out Match: Jake “the Snake” Roberts vs. Cody Rhodes. Match is not sanctioned by TWA and is therefore not under standard TWA rules and regulations. (Rhodes wins)
