Unveiled by Nikola Tesla in 1923, the automatic intelligence known as Atomic Robo received full United States citizenship after completing a top-secret mission predating America’s entry into World War II. After the war, Robo founded Tesladyne, a world-renowned think tank entrusted to stand against the kind of threats that only his unique take on science, action, and Conan the Barbarian can help with.
As one of the preeminent scientific minds of this, the past, and the further past, Robo has encountered many strange sights and people in his days, some friendly, and some evil. His very first adventures led him to fight along side his father, Tesla, as well as the vigilante Jack Tarot (Whose never letting Robo anywhere NEAR his daughter again) to combat the nefarious exploits of Thomas Edison, who would later return in spectral form to harass him. In the 40s upon entering the war, he encountered the British super spy Sparrow, working along side her to end the nefarious threat of the Nazi super scientist Baron Heinrich von Helsingard. In the present day, he’s been confounded by the sociopath artificial intelligence Alan, along with the ever unpredictable Dr. Dinosaur, while working alongside the new Sparrow, the son of his old…well friend is too strong a word really.
Now, nearing his hundredth birthday, with his head of security and violence specialist Jenkins, the ever capable action scientist Ada, the kind of capable action scientist Bernard and the never reliable Louis and Martin (he owes their families favors), Robo finds that many of the major events of his life may be connected. As Robo investigates, he’ll discover things about his past he’s forgotten, scientific impossibilities made possible, enemies he never knew he had, and get to meet Neil Degrasse Tyson. It will take all of his allies from the beginning of his life to what could be the end to prevent something so catastrophic that it would spell doom for the entire world.
Oh and there’s vampires too.
