Okay, I remember asking this question a couple of years back, but don't recall the answer given about this category.

Is the Breakthrough of the Year category supposed to mean "Rookie" of the year? To me there is a distinction and if I were to vote ROOKIE of the year then all of these nominations would make sense, but if we're talking "breakthrough" as I understand it, then that doesn't necessarily exclude anyone who isn't a rookie.

So if I were to nominate "breakthrough" again as I understand it, I would nominate

Rabbit whose been with us off and on for years, but has super shined particularly this year with his heel work and World Championship run, Tytan for pretty much the same reason, Agrius who seemed to be a throwaway but has truly grown as a character, or even Shannon who won her singles title and helped her husband achieve his Grand Slam by winning a Tag Team Championship.

But if this is a strictly ROOKIE category then
