Sadly nothing newer. On the two story-lines he drew this past year, they gave the cover art assignment to someone else. Seriously, do Gail Bianchi or Gregory Lauren covers sell more copies? I don't get it, Tom Mandrake actually has fans, who might pick up the book if they knew from looking at it they might have a reason to.

Mandrake'd probably do better if you didn't keep putting up that Two-Face cover as a premier example of his work.

Y'think? I think that cover's one of the prettiest he ever did. (He didn't do a lot of covers.) I love the cross-hatched shading on the good side of his face. And on his bad eye.

The "A Night on the Town" one with thugs going through plate glass window is pretty nice too.

Besides, Mandrake was a twelve seed and defeated five-seed Timm. He did pretty well to get into the second round at all.

Don't take the fact that I did a cover cavalcade for him to mean that I'm rooting for him to win this one. That was more of an "in all fairness" and "last chance to show off Mandrake's cool art to those who might not have seen it, since he's way outmatched by Aparo" cover cavalcade.

I love the Two Face cover but I do think that using it every time gives off the idea that its his best work and there's nothing worth showing besides it.

Every time? This is just the second round. And Mandrake's last unless something wacky happens.

I also posted almost every Batman cover Mandrake ever did in the cover cavalcade. But for the top post I want to put the best foot forward for each artist, and I do think that's his best cover.

I said somewhere else before (can't find where right now) that I think it's just ridiculous that he didn't get to do any cover art for his more recent runs on Batman this past year. That would have given me a little more to choose from.

I already posted three different Mandrake covers in the Batman Artists thread. To say nothing of the nine Mandrake covers I posted in this thread. Come on!

I just think if you're only going to put two pics up in the original post, there's a better one than that to do. It's an alright cover, but the Adams Cover showing the same thing is much better in my opinion

My rule has been one cover and one page of interior art for each artist in the top post, so everyone sees an example of both types of art for each artist right off the bat. And I still maintain that it's Mandrake's best cover.
