"Silver Eagle" Jack Bullet sits at the airport wearing a tattered Columbus Horizon jersey from his days as a student at Ohio State University. Since there were no CBA teams near Long Island Beverly Cambridge comes up and sits down wearing a Fargo Fever jersey for reasons.
BC: I see we'll be teaming this week on Mayhem. Maybe we should get coffee...uh, Snapple... and talk things out.
JB: We should probably watch making that a habit. Kylie didn't seem to care much for it last time.
BC: My sister is in a weird head space right now and I can't say you and I aren't part of the reason why. Not to mention continued strife with Josie, but it was good to get her off the road and with other family.
Kieran Bourne and Sebastian Davis walk up to interrupt them.
SD: Nice to see you so chummy.
KB: When I get the pinfall over you next week Bev, it will put me in line for a title shot.
SD: You mean, when I pin her next week, it will put me in line for another title shot.
KB: Isn't there a limit of like 75 world title shots for one person in a six month period.
Davis lashes out with a straight right hand and catches Bourne in the face. He goes down fast, but pops up just as fast and rushes Davis. Security appears, corals the two and drags them off.
JB: This isn't the OOWF arena, you can't just fight like that in an airport.
BC: We can only hope TSA gives them a violent strip search.
JB: So help me Bev, I think I'm beginning to like you.
BC: Same here, just don't tell anybody.
JB: Where'd you get that jersey anyway?
BC: Oh, Carl from Fresno was selling them over there.
Bev points to a stand with Carl hawking a variety of defunct CBA team jerseys as we fade.
<in the back we see Vic walking around with a clipboard checking off a long list of items one at a time. He checks each truck, makes sure he knows what's on there then tells the drivers to head to the next destination. He gets to the last truck and the driver is standing at the door of a nearly empty trailer.>
Vic: What's this? You're supposed to have the training center packed up in here!
Vic: I don't see a ring
Vic: Is there a reason the ring is not in your truck?
Driver: Reckon it's still bein' used
Vic: It was supposed to be packed and ready to go HOURS ago!
<a frustrated Vic storms away and heads toward the training center. As he gets closer we hear the sound of something hitting the mat, then we hear someone yell AGAIN! Vic storms inside and we see Moose sitting there drinking and smoking a cigar watching three workers, Stu DeBaker, Double Cheeseburger and Sue Plexity. The three are worn out and groan getting up off the mat. DeBaker lifts Double Cheeseburger onto his shoulders and Sue Plexity climbs to the top rope and hit a Doomsday Device. Double Cheeseburger hits the mat hard as does Sue Plexity. DeBaker just drops to his knees>
Vic: Not again! You three, get out of here! NOW!
<the three of them groan their appreciation and roll out of the ring and drag themselves toward the showers>
Vic: NO, sorry, showers are off, we are supposed to be out of this building already!
<the three moan and complain and drag ass out of the arena. Vic turns to Moose>
Vic: What the hell are you doing?
Vic: You have three of my workers in here, exhausted, in a fucking training center that was supposed to be packed up HOURS ago!
MHJ: Oh. That.
Vic: Yes, THAT
MHJ: Yeah, shit happens
Vic: <holding the bridge of his nose tightly> Moose, I have a very strict schedule to keep. All this stuff needs to be in Washington as soon as possible, your little stunt put us WAY behind!
MHJ: Huh, yeah, I guess it did
Vic: What the HELL were you doing?
MHJ: Me and Patrick were watching something <Moose cocks his head, then nods> Yeah, we gotta go. Time to meet Jake
<Moose turns and walks out of the training center, Vic grabs his phone and tells the crew to get in there and start disassembling the ring, within second a crew shows up>
Firewoman finishes her hike to the top of Mt. Adams, or at least to as close as one can get without expert climbing gear. It's still pretty high. She checks her phone for signal and places a call.
FW: ... Hey babe, hope rehab is going well. There's a volcano here we need to check out together next time we're in the area.....okay, miss you.....
She sighs and hangs up. She watches the setting sun light up the scenery.
FW: You know, I once knew someone who liked to talk to himself on high places. Never could figure out why.
A breeze picks up and rumples her hair.
FW: Well, probably because there's no one else to talk to. Despite my spouse, my brother, my group of ...well, I guess they're friends.... no matter where you go...there you are. It's always come down to just one thing. Me against the world. Sure there's a 4 by 4 clusterfuck match but...aw, hell, I don't know what I'm even saying.
Time marches on. My brother's ghosts are finally coming home to roost, and while I can give him the roadmap for that...I'm not even sure he'd take it.
Don't worry.... I'll show up and do my job, entertain the hell out of folks and show the other team who's the top of the world in the OOWF now, forever, and always... and then I'll figure out what the next step is. Now go away, INC.
<Moose and 13 are flying down I-90 headed toward Yakima. They see a sign for Coeur d'Alene and without slowing, Moose takes the exit>
13: I assume we are taking a detour?
MHJ: Gotta meet Jake
13: Who is Jake?
MHJ: someone I've known for a long time
13: Is he Native?
MHJ: No. He did some time in prison up here and when he got out, he just sort of stayed
MHJ: Nothing bad, just tore up a bar
<they are silent foe awhile as the car roars down the road. the Severed Garden by Jim Morrison comes on and a line seems to catch 13's ear>
They are waiting to take us Into the severed garden Do you know how pale and wanton thrill-full Comes death on a strange hour? Unannounced, unplanned for Like a scaring over-friendly guest You’ve brought to bed Death makes angels of us all And gives us wings Where we had shoulders Smooth as raven’s claws
13: Jack, can I ask you something?
MHJ: <lighting a cigar> sure
13: Why has this dream spooked you so much?
MHJ: It hasn't
13: What do you think happens when we die?
MHJ: You become worm food
13: that's it?
MHJ: That's it.
13: Then.......then why does it seem to bother you so much?
MHJ: It doesn't
13: <giving Moose the look> you know goddamn well that that is not true. For years, hell damn near since you started here fifteen years ago you talked about how it was going to end. The broken down old wrestler in a high school gym meeting his end at the hands of some overzealous green rookie. You and Fire have both spoken of what happened with Patrick, and you have both talked about your parents, who may or may not be dead. I don't think you realize how much death is part of you.
MHJ: <exhaling a cloud of smoke, but doesn't say anything, we hear the next song come on, Hurt by Johnny Cash>
Beneath the stains of time The feelings disappear You are someone else I am still right here What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt If I could start again A million miles away I will keep myself I would find a way
13: that's the second time that song has come up
MHJ: It's a good song
13: It means something to you
MHJ: <sighing as they head down a back road that dead ends in the parking lot of the dive bar to end all dive bars> Listen to those words. Fifteen years. What have I become? I look at the people I thought I once knew and they are all gone. LD. Stank. Stan. Crete. Alex. They are all shells. And I see in them what I fear in me.
13: Aging? We all age.....
MHJ: No. Not that. I have to know, I have to know if what Alex said was true. I've sent them all to their graves. Corax was my first feud in the OOWF. He's gone. I feuded off and on with Spin, he's gone. Semaj B? Yep, he and I had it out. He's gone. Chloe, Edra, Wyatt. All gone.
13: Yeah, but it's wrestling..........you can't blame yourself for that
MHJ: I helped kill them. I didn't blow up anyone's cars, or push anyone off the bridge, or pull the trigger, but I made their life miserable. I made it personal. I pushed them to be me.
<without another word Moose gets out of the car and heads toward the bar, 13 catches up with him quickly. As Moose is about to walk into the bar, a couple of Natives who have had a few too many come out the door.>
Native 1: HEY! You're that Moose Jack guy!
Native 2: I've seen him on television. They say he's a real tough guy!
<Moose stands there amused for a moment as he is about to pounce someone busts a pool cue across one of their backs, as the other turns around, he gets dropped with a right cross. The first one tries to get a shot in, but he eats a punch to the gut, then a right hook to the jaw that ends his night. When it's all said and done we see Jake Walker standing there>
JW: Well, if it isn't Moosehead Jack
MHJ: They got you workin' at Idaho Toilet Bowl I see.
JW: It's a paycheck <looking at 13> and who is this?
MHJ: 13, she's my manager
JW: Manager eh? Sweetie you can manage me any time you'd like
<Before Jake can move, 13 pulls a butterfly knife from her pocket, flicks it open and presses the blade against Jake's throat pinning him against the wall>
13: That is no way to talk to a lady
<13 releases him, Jake rubs his throat and laughs>
JW: I like this one! Reminds me of your sister, say how the hell is she? Why didn't you bring her along?
MHJ: She's fine, and I didn't bring her because I am pretty sure she hates you
JW: Hates me? What did I ever do to her?
MHJ: oh, normal things that annoy my sister, like breathing, existing, shit like that
<Jake laughs and motions for Moose and 13 to follow them. They go inside the bar and head to a back booth occupied by two drunks, one passed out, the other well on his way. Jake walks up to the table and grabs the passed out one and tosses him to the floor, the three of them just look at the other one and he is quick to get up and leave. Within seconds two bottles of whiskey and three glasses are set on the table>
JW: So, Jack, what brings you up to my neck of the woods
MHJ: Got a show in Yakima on Wednesday, thought I would stop by
<13 excuses herself and heads to the bathroom>
JW: You got your hands full, kid. What's the matter? Still living in the past, aren't you? I watch the OOWF, that dream has you spooked.
MHJ: This has nothing to do with the dream
JW: Bullshit, that dog won't hunt. I can't believe you're still dragging this shit around with you. It seems to me that you'd be a little more philosophical about it.......and cut it the fuck loose. Jack, I'm not going to pretend I understand what you do, but I've been around it enough and seen enough to know that........sometimes you have to do what you do to defend yourself. You can either get hurt, or you can hurt the motherfucker that is trying to hurt you.
MHJ: It's not that simple
JW: Really? Then why?
MHJ: I have to know that it is still in them. I have to know that they are not too far gone, there's nothing I can do about Billy Dee or Lucas or Crush, I can't get in the ring with them, they've made their peace with their lives and I have to accept that, and there is nothing I can do for Chloe, Edra, Spin and the rest, they made their choice, and I will never know what part I played in that.......
JW: You think you were responsible for their deaths?
MHJ: As much as anyone else. I made it personal. Always. Mind games, creating doubt, it's what I do.
JW: So, why Folz?
MHJ: Because that's who Patrick said I need to start with. He is the easiest.
MHJ: I know what Folz can do. I have no doubt he can just wrestle. But I have to know. I start with him, and end with the one that will be the most difficult
MHJ: No, that option is out anyway. He will have to face his demons on his own.
JW: Then who?
JW: <sitting back> I don't understand
MHJ: Fire resents me. I never really noticed it before, but I see it now. I forced her to hit the clothesline on Patrick. She followed me into wrestling and she got stabbed in Japan. She comes to the OOWF after me, and......well, you know the entire story. I thought us together in a team would put all that to rest, but it can't
JW: So, another Blood Pond?
MHJ: No. That's what I want to avoid. I have to see if Fire still has it, I know she is capable, she is one of the best in the world, but can she be that against me
JW: <shaking his head> I don't understand this Jack, it seems like you have things right where you want them
MHJ: I thought so too, but something isn't right........
<just then 13 comes back with bloody hands>
13: I uh, I think maybe we should leave
<a commotion breaks out by the women's bathroom as three large Native women come out of the bathroom, bloody as hell and looking for a fight>
JW: you two better go, I'll take care of this. Jack, it's always a pleasure <looks at 13> ma'am
<Jake and Moose shake hands then Moose and 13 turn and head out as Jake tries to make peace, but we quickly hear the sounds of a brawl as they get into the car and tear off into the night and we fade>

MidWeek Mayhem (No. 927) Yakima, Washington July 24, 2019
Joe (From Montana) vs. Mac Flasher Joe (From Montana) advances to the middle of the ring as if in a trance as Mac Flasher backs up being a little cautious. Joe raises both of his arms and Flasher stops. He walks up, right to Joe in his face, and pushes him back. Joe still has no reaction and Flasher shakes his head. Flasher nods and gives Joe what he wants with a few hooks to the body. Joe braces for the blows and takes them. Flasher takes Joe down with a Biel Throw and Joe seems a bit surprised to be manhandled in this way but stays down. Flasher walks over to Joe then runs up and hits a Leg Drop then goes over to Joe to say something unintelligible in his face then hit some mounted punches. Flasher backs off as Joe puts his hands to his face. He slowly gets up but keeps his back to Flasher not moving. Flasher screams at Joe and when he turns around Flasher barrels into him with a shoulder block. Joe bounces back. Flasher hits another and Joe just absorbs the blow and steps back. Flasher bounces off the ropes again but this time drills Joe down with a strong Spear. Flasher looks down at a writhing Joe and picks him up. There is little resistance as Flasher picks Joe up and hits a Butterfly Suplex then pins. Joe remarkably kicks out at two. Flasher immediately gets on top of him and hits some mounted punches thinking that the match is on, but when he lets off Joe rolls out of the ring. Joe makes for the ramp, but Flasher is not having it. He stops Joe and rakes at his eyes discretely before throwing him back into the ring. Joe rolls back and stands only to get hit with a Powerful Clothesline that spins him inside out. Dropping down Mac gets the 1..2...3.
Your winner (pinfall, 4:20), Mac Flasher!
Postmatch: As Mac rises with intent to continue the beating of the youngster, he sees John Law strolling down the ramp. Mac slides out of the ring and asks why John is meddling in his business and gets a shove as the answer. Mac rebounds and tackles John as neither man gets an edge during the brawl.
Eight-Person Tag Match: The Saints of Sinners (Matt Folz, Moosehead Jack, “Black Magic” Stacy Kirkland and Firewoman) vs. Banned From Everywhere, Shizuru-Mune Mangyuniku-Cox and Zed •With Awesome Bill From Dawsonville, Justin Sane reuniting with old pal Zed and also maintaining the odd grouping with Shizuru-Mune Mangyuniku-Cox, the fan-favorites head to the ring ready for a brawl as they impatiently wait for The Saints of Sinners. •Matt Folz, Moosehead Jack, “Black Magic” Stacy Kirkland and Firewoman don’t keep the faces waiting long as they rush the ring from the crowd and trigger an ambush attack, that is quickly foiled by the determined southern crew (and Shizuru) as they clean house with Justin threatening a DOOOUUUUUUGGGGGHHAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWKKKKKK! •Once order is restored, Zed and Matt Folz pair off as the legal men. •Zed keeps up with Matt’s wrestling prowess, but takes an elbow under the jaw to put Matt ahead and allow him to send the North Carolinian into The Saints of Sinners’ corner. •A four-way beatdown is halted by Gavin “Junior” Hale, who draws the ire of Stacy and quickly cowers. •Zed is still able to crawl away and tag in Awesome Bill, who has a clothesline ready for Matt and a shoulder block lined up for an inattentive Moose as he’s sent to the barricade. •Firewoman checks on her brother as Justin runs across the apron and delivers a running senton onto the Quinns. •Stacy is still berating Hale as Shizuru dashes across the ring and pops her with an uppercut. •Hale is checking on Stacy, taking his eyes away from the ring long enough for Sebastian Davis to charge in with his clangy pole and deliver a few shots across Matt’s back before a Beach in Wheat (OK, I googled craft breweries in Corpus Christi and found a fun name for one of the brews at Lazy Beach) legsweep to Matt before pasting Awesome Bill, Shizuru and Zed for funsies. •Justin rushes in the ring and calls Hale inside. •Hale rolls in and counts the 3 just as Stacy grabs his ankle to pull him out.
Your winners (pinfall, 9:16), the team of Banned From Everywhere, Shizuru-Mune Mangyuniku-Cox and Zed!
Postmatch: Stacy slaps Hale, who asks for more as the Quinns rush inside to tend to Matt as Justin rallies his team outside. All while Sebastian stands atop the ramp with clangy pole and microphone in hand.
Sebastian:“Matt! You have until Sunday to get your affairs in order. Kiss your wife on the cheek. Make nice with whomever you need to make nice with. Because on Sunday, in Salem, Oregon at Mid-Summer Night’s Scream 11, The Hurricane is coming. And your worries won’t be about being the last man standing, they’ll be strictly on the old man surviving. And that is a GUAR-an-tee!
Best of-7 Series – Match 7: Take II: The Frenemies vs. The Darling Twins Once more, with extra feelings, we see the Frenemies and the Darlings come together to put this one away. We start off with some quick tags back and forth and it's again a clinic that starts off as super technical, but as each side grows frustrated, the teeth start to come out. Alexander whips Bridget in the corner and tags in Alexis. Alexis leaps over the ropes and whips Bridget across the ring. Bridget comes out strong, but Alexis goes low, lifting her up, and Alex hits a lung blower. The referee shoos Alex out, and Alexis scrambles over for the pin, but Bridget kicks out. Bridget scrambles over to tag in Kylie, who springboards over the ropes and catches Alexis is in a Tornado DDT. Quick pin, but Alexis gets a shoulder up. Kylie pulls Alexis up by their hair and drags her over to the corner, applying some quick chops (Woooo!). Kylie whips Alexis to the far corner, but Alexis reverses into the Bitch Killer~! She makes the pin, one, two...NO~! It's broken up by Bridget. Alexis tags Alex in while Bridget gets shooed out. Kylie recovers and catches Alex flat-footed with a Chick Kick. Alex hits the mat and Kylie hits the turnbuckle...MOONSAULT~! in to a pin that is broken up by Alexis. Now it's Alexis' turn to be shooed out. Kylie tags in Bridget who gets caught in the DARLING DRIVER~!. Alex goes for the pin, but now Kylie breaks it up. Alex complains to the referee as Bridget recovers. Alex attacks and Bridget takes him over for German Suplex and holds him there for the pin, one, two...THREE~! The referee raises Bridget’s hand but Victor DeNiro appears at the top of the ramp and calls for the replay. On the replay, Beverly didn't get her shoulders up during the pin, so we have another tie!
Ladies and gentlemen, after a review, it has been determined that both Alexander Darling and Bridget O’Malley had their shoulders down for the 3-count, meaning that the result of this match is a draw!
Postmatch: As both teams show visual frustration, GM Vic DeNiro grabs a mic.
Vic:“It’s clear that both The Frenemies and The Darling Twins are each deserving of the tag-team championship match that awaits as soon as the champions are in the ring, so it is my decision that BOTH The Frenemies and The Darling Twins will challenge Los Defenestrators next!"
OOWF Tag-Team Championship Match: Los Defenestrators (c) vs. The Frenemies vs. The Darlings •A cloud of churro dust fills the ring, causing coughing fits in the ring and around ringside. •As the dust clears, all four challengers are covering their eyes as El Ecosystema and El Voltaje stand tall inside with a pane of glass at each corner. •Bridget O’Malley is the first to be tossed through the glass, falling between the ropes and on the outside. •Kylie Mignolio bounces off the glass on the first try before going through the second time. •Alexis Daring gets a headbutt in on Voltaje, but is grabbed by Ecosistema and defenestrated. •Alexander Darling fights off both men individually, but is overcome by the numbers game before getting tossed through the last pane of glass. •As Los Defenestrators celebrate in a pile of broken glass and churro dust, Bridget emerges with a steel chair as does Kylie as The Frenemies blast the champs with the furniture. •Alexis and Alexander recover and grab shards of glass with bad intentions in mind before OOWF Security pull the three teams apart. •GM Vic DeNiro returns with mic in hand.
Vic:“Since we couldn’t determine a winner tonight. The six of you will settle this on Sunday at Mid-Summer Night’s Scream 11. And if Los Defenestrators pull any garbage like this again in Salem, Oregon, they will be stripped of their OOWF Tag-Team Championships. Frenemies. Darlings. This will be your last shot at the titles as long as Los Defenestrators hold the titles. Any shenanigans on your part may keep you out of the championship picture for a long time.”
Beverly Cambridge and “Silver Eagle” Jack Bullet vs. Kieran Bourne and Sebastian Davis •Kieran Bourne comes out first, brooding as always and quickly is overshadowed by Sebastian Davis as his music hits. •The braggadocios Texan is still feeling his oats after his attack earlier in the show. •”Silver Eagle” Jack Bullet comes out to a loud ovation. •As Jack stands at the bottom of the ramp, OOWF World Champion Beverly Cambridge comes out to an ovation just as loud as Jack’s as the two briefly discuss strategy before entering the ring. •Jack, to Beverly’s behest, starts for his team as Sebastian initially steps in before deferring to Kieran. •Jack’s delivers a series of rights out of a tie-up after Kieran attempted to rake the veteran’s eyes. •Jack brings Kieran to his team’s corner and delivers a knee lift and an uppercut before tagging Beverly, who hits a seated dropkick and a cannonball splash as Kieran slumps further down. •Kieran rolls out, but Jack is there to detour him back inside. •Kieran eats a roundhouse kick from the champ, that gets 1.5. •Beverly keeps Kieran on the mat with a wrist lock that actually gets a few pin attempts before Kieran is able to escape when he surges up with a headbutt. •Kieran tags in Sebastian, who hammers away at Beverly, pausing every so often to motion around his waist that Beverly’s championship should belong to him. •Sebastian delivers a Hurricane Slam that keeps Beverly down for 2. •A chin lock slows down the pacing a bit while Sebastian leans as much of his weight that he can on Beverly to wear her down. •Jack starts to pound the turnbuckle to rally fans behind the champion. •All of that noise is going on as Davis Hightower checks Beverly’s submission status. •Beverly says no by getting to a standing position and escaping momentarily before Sebastian grabs her hair and pulls her back down to the mat. •Kieran tags in and smiles at the downed – and stunned – Beverly. •Kieran picks Beverly up and suplexes her, getting 2 off the cover. •Kieran sizes Beverly up for a curbstomp, only to eat a spear from Jack. •Hightower escorts Jack to his corner as Sebastian and Kieran combine to hit a double slingshot suplex on Beverly. •With Beverly almost out, Kieran climbs to the top and hits Death From Above onto a prone Beverly. •Jack breaks up the count at 2.5. •Sebastian charges in and gets a right hand from Jack for his troubles that tangles him in the ropes. •Hightower is tending to Sebastian as Jack pulls in Kieran and drills him with a Silver Bullet DDT before pulling Beverly on top of KIeran. •Hightower untangles Sebastian, who falls to the outside. •Hightower sees the cover and counts 3.
Your winners (pinfall, 15:06), the team of Beverly Cambridge and “Silver Eagle” Jack Bullet!
Postmatch: Jack helps Beverly to her feet and raises her arm before Sebastian runs in from behind and clotheslines Jack into Beverly with the champion falling as Jack’s arm clocks her in the jaw. As Jack tries to help Beverly to her feet, she shoves him back and gets in his face as Jack tries to diffuse the situation. Sebastian takes another run, this time at Beverly from behind as Jack pushes her away to greet the Texan with a straight right hand. As Jack prepares to bring more of the fight to Sebastian, Beverly pops up and shoves Jack again, even angrier than before. Jack, at the end of his patience, brings the same argument intensity as Hightower tries to separate the two. While all of this is going on, Matt Folz runs down to ringside with a kendo stick helmet in hand to return an earlier favor to Sebastian as he heads for higher ground. Jack and Beverly, still nose to nose continue their argument as the feed fades out.
