Dropping the Lock for Angelo Poffo. He was a promoter, but still wrestling some in 1985. I might use him at some point in a six man with his sons. Will probably just be part of my “creative team.”
Dropping King Curtis for Dominic Denucci. Trainer of Foley and Douglas. Thinking I’ll use him as a special guest referee or something. Was still wrestling some in 1985.
So out of curiosity now that name dropping doesn't matter, anyone surprised any any talent still left out there? Biggest one to me is Mike Rotunda/IRS.
I thought about Paul Heyman. Didn’t debut as a manger until 1987, but worked professionally in the wrestling business before that as a photographer. So totally legit ancillary pick.
I have four cards as of now. Mine, Dev, Cletus, Mayhem. Cards due by 8 p.m. tonight for round 2. I'll probably leave polls open until right before and then post results of Round 1.
SG and Solly didn't submit cards again, so it's Cletus vs. Mayhem part 2. If Cletus wins, then total votes will determine who moves onto the final. From the other division moving onto the final will be either Dash or me. Finals will go up after the final two are declared and cards are submitted.
Great to hear Liz. I would look forward in reading it.
To mention, I'm looking to do something similar to this again in late summer or early fall with 1995 rosters. I've been looking and WWF and WCW can be divided up into two rosters each pretty easily with 15 singles, five tag teams and five ancillary positions. Then I'm thinking of just allowing for 5 or 10 all-purpose slots.
Looking at other companies for use, I'm thinking ECW, AAA and New Japan. Also, a best of the indies mix of Smokey Mountain, USWA and AWF; unless those could maybe support their own full rosters. I'm still working on it.
