I'd watch the fuck out of both these cards, well done both of you. But Tully/Shawn, my love of tag team wrestling and my love of extended tournaments means a close vote for Dev here.

Lot of credit for doing a full Crockett Cup. I think all tag matches wouldn't have worked, so good sprinkling of singles bouts. Even if we're talking 1985 Shawn Michaels, him against Tully would still be great. That's Tully make SM a star. Race vs. Benoit can be the same. I'm not against booking men vs. women, but those matches are the ones that don't quite gel for me.

I'm a sucker for old school AWA and this feels like an old school AWA show. I was going to say something about the two cage matches back to back at the top of the card, but the AWA would do that. Malenko vs. Backlund and Martel vs. Borne are my favorites here. Hanson vs. Brown could be a sleeper. If Brody is willing to play ball with the rookie, that could be a star making match for young Vader.

Bit limited with who I could use, I figured the Midnights would work well with two scrappy faces and Richter, Ivory could handle their end. I'm not expecting long matches there but it worked to get a full 16 teams.

And the Vachons/Bulldogs would be a bit more of a brawl and given the genes of the Vachons, they'd be fine.

The second card has one more Crockett Cup intergender tag match and it'll work more on a comedy level but also should be good enough not to bring down an entire card.

I thought about doing the entire first round in one card but 7 or 8 tag matches with only one or two singles would have been too much. I like how I spread out the talent but doing tournaments in order to get to the good matches does mean some lackluster matches in round 1. I might do the quarters and semis together in my 3rd card just so everyone knows where I was heading for the finals in case I don't get to a 4th card.

I might also post a what if in my thread to do an entirely different idea.

I am glad you see this, as it's exactly what I was going for. Rage In The Cage was an old AWA event, and it was headlined by 2 cage matches (I mean, so was Starrcade 1987). I am going to mix it up a little, but I wanted to start with an old school AWA show.
