This draft needs a better name. Let's start with that.

Premise: You are given 12 different Golden Tickets, each one allows you to be in attendance at any Event in history.

You need to draft for the following categories:

Wrestling Event (2) - A specific show.

Sporting Event (2) - A single game or contest.

Political Event (2) - Debates/Speeches/etc...

Historical Event (2) - Anything else of real note: Battles/Natural Phenomenon/etc...

Entertainment Event (2) - Music/Movie/TV/Comedy Concert/Taping/Filming/Performance/Premiere

International Event (1) - Any Category, just happened outside North America

Fictional Event (1) - Any Category. My gut says happens on earth, but I mean, if you want to watch while whoever blows up Superman's home planet, I guess you can.

Other events can be international, just one needs to have that designation.

I'm going to be pretty lenient about what qualifies for a certain category. The main rule is Be Specific. "The French Revolution" is invalid. "The Beheading of King Louis XIV" will qualify. If you aren't sure, narrow it down to a date and place.

Clock Rules. 8 Hours to pick, Overnight suspension from Midnight to 8 am EST. If you were on overnight suspension, your clock expires at Noon EST at the latest.


Once we have a draft list set, I will figure out a bracket to vote on these. I'm going to cross post this one a few times to see what kind of reaction we get. I'll give sign ups until say 6pm EST on Valentine's Day and we will start up that Monday or so.

Questions:

What about an event taking place in multiple locations on the same day and/or same time, like Wrestlemania 2? Am I at all the place or do I have to be at a specific place and someone else can draft another place for the event? Do I have to be in New York for Wrestlemania 2 and someone else can be in Chicago and someone else in Los Angeles.

What about events taking place at the same place at the same time? Can someone draft the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and then I draft tickets to see Our American Cousin at Ford's Theater on April 14, 1865. Technically, not the same thing.

Is it only public events? What about private events? Example, dinner last Tuesday at Sharky's house.

Is it a singular event or a connected series of events? Like can I go to the entirety of the 1984 World Series, or can I only go to Game 5 and if that's the case can someone else go to Game 4?

Funny, I used this exact example in a FBM. For multi day events like WM2, You'd need to chose a location. If you take WM2, Chicagp, someone else can draft WM2, Los Angeles.

IF you draft a ticket to attend the assassination of Lincoln, You'll be at the showing of OAC. You see the same events unfold, so I'm going to say one eliminates the other.

Hahahaha. I legit just laughed out loud. Events need not be public. Although technically, Mrs. Sharky and I play poker on Tuesdays, so there was not a dinner at our house that day.

You would have to draft one game of that series. Yes, someone else can draft another game/contest from that event. Same thing with Olympics. You can't draft the entire 1980 Winter Olympics. You can draft the 1980 Winter Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Semi-Final if you want.


Pretty much anything that is multi-day or location needs to be specified. If there is any gray area, the rule is Be Specific

Political is so wide open, I think 2 is not hard at all.

We will add a second Fictional event. & a wild card for a 14 round draft. I will put things up shortly
