As always, I'm open to and looking for feedback from those who want to play. My current ideas:

• Because music as a whole is so expansive and we're requiring a list of genres, I'm thinking this should be a longer draft. Leaning toward going somewhere around 40 rounds.
• In addition to your standard albums, I'd also like a couple of added quirks like a requirement to draft a certain number (three?) of 7" singles. Maybe you can draft one box set. Maybe one "bootleg" (never officially released) album. I'm pretty attached to the 7" idea, but anything else to add some flavor, I'm open to thoughts on.
• If we're at 40 rounds, do we want 40 genres required? Or do we go with something like 20 genres and just say you need a minimum of 1 album per genre?

I'd like to start this up sometime next week, so I'd like to have some ideas thrown around until then. Also, post your favorite genres so we can get that list built!

I would suggest pairing it down to 12-20. In theory, I could listen to a few tracks before voting.

This didn't go unnoticed. After making a genre list (I'm capping it to 20 genres) and considering a few wildcards and extras, I'm thinking 25 is a good number of rounds (20 genre-based, then a couple spots for wildcards and singles...maybe a box set). I hope you'll decide to join and round us out at an even 8!
