To bring this league past the 1970s and into the 2020s..

A proposal to make the season-opening Draft positions be based on Final  (post-playoff) standings from the previous season, as opposed to the current rule which has the Draft positions based on the previous year's regular-season standings. This proposal is being made for the start of the 2023 season. 


AMENDED: The first pick for the following year's draft would still go to the Consolation Winner, as it does now.

I'm sure we can vote on it.

This wouldn't include giving the consolation bracket winner their choice of pick in the first round, that's a separate rule (and one that gives everyone something to play for).

I don't have a problem with what you're proposing (despite your thinly veiled insult to this long standing, upstanding, institution 😁).
