We are playing a Head2Head season with the following stats
Skaters: Goals, Assists, Plus/Minus, Power Play Points, PIM, & Game-Winning Goals.
Goalies: Wins, Goals Against Average, Save Percentage, Shutouts.
Managers select there own Keepers at the end of the season. You must select 1 keeper for every position (C, LW, RW, D, G). Keeper eligibility will start in the 4th round.
We have 19 players to pick 2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 1Util, 2G and 6 bench.
The limitation will be 4 goalie starts. If you don't make all your starts for that week you will lose all the goalie stats for that week.
New Rule: Since Moose was kind enough to step in at the last minute to help out, a new rule is being put in place. No making fun of Moose for the picks he makes...you can make fun of him after the draft is over with and for the rest of the season.
Am I missing anything?

I the football league, you simply can't keep anyone drafted 1-3. After that, there's a one-round penalty for each keeper (if you keep your 4th pick, you lose your 3rd pick next year, if you keep your 7th pick, you lose your 6th next year, and so on).
I'd be fine with no limitations and no penalty, given that we have 5 keepers, and there's already a limitation of keeping one of each position.
Agreed with at least starting with no penalties for keepers here. I do agree on the first 3 rounds or so. We could always tweak the keeper rules in future years if something isnt working. But I'd really prefer the first hockey season to be as simple as can be while still being competitive. Keep 1 per position (5 total), no one from the first 3 rounds. That's all. And they're declared like 6 weeks before the season starts.
Correct, picks 1-30 will not be able to be kept for the following season. If Crosby sucksor gets hurt and wins up dropping into the 4th round of the 08-09 draft, he could be kept for 09-10.
What's the point of having OTL as a stat category? Seems kind of useless to me.
I agree.
I say we ditch that. That would put the stats categories to an even 10, and round numbers are nice. And like I commented in one of the old threads, a 6:4 ratio is plenty fair when we're playing 11 skaters vs. 2 goalies a night.
I would agree with losses, but not if it made the amount of categories uneven. OTL is strictly OTL. It'd probably end in ties for the majority of people every week.

We should be able to let Moose draft his team and then in April he can become the owner of the team with the best record. It's only fair we let him do what he's used to.

that's it, just for that, I am drafting the most awesome team ever. Ron Hextall in goal, Eric Lindros suffering a concussion, Gordie Howe now, he's only 60 or 70, he can still go, who else, gotta get some Russians, does Ivan Koloff play hockey? Yeah? Well then I am drafting him! I'll show all of you!
The Phillies are everything I hoped the Mets would be - a team that plays their fucking asses off for all 27 outs. They're never out of a game. Solly 10/20/09

If it's any consolation, Moose, I started doing draft prep last night, and there were a lot of names I didn't recognize. Also, there seems to have been a lot of off-season movement. I'm just as screwed as anyone when it comes to drafting.
