Oh, and in case it wasn't painfully obvious, I think I am one and done in Fantasy Hockey. It was an interesting experience, but I can't say I really enjoyed it all that much. I just don't know enough about the players to be able to put together a team worth a shit. So, if you guys want to find a new owner to take over OEJ for next year - I don't even know if I have five guys on this team that are worth keeping - or just dissolve this team and let someone new come in, thats something you should probably start doing soon. I hope this doesn't mess things up for anyone.
I microplay....mostly because I lost interest after 2 weeks (if that) this year, and there's no way in hell I'm going through another draft like the one we had this year.
Wait, that wasn't fair. Let me requalify: SORE loser. Maybe don't chose half the Leafs for your team next time.
It's no secret that I haven't been a fan of the process that was decided on for this league, but at least I kept with it and used the rules to whatever advantage I could to get a #3 seed. So take your ball and go home... QUITTER.

If it's another free season I'm in. If we start having to pay for hockey, I'm out. I just don't pay any attention during the season and go weeks without changing my team.

All of that is a fairly accurate statement.
I'd probably be better off in a hockey pool this year if I chose more Ottawa players or picked up Price early on in the draft for keeper reasons...but then that would mean I'd be cheering for people I don't really want to succeed. So I guess my preference for being a Leaf did hurt my interest.
And I guess I was a sore loser. I should have announced I wanted to quit the league early on, like when I stopped caring while I was doing well. Hell, in all honesty I should have quit during the draft when people kept bitching about me following the rules. Regardless, perception would be that I quit after I went south, so it's a fair statement to say I'm a sore loser.
Finally, seeing as how I announced I was quitting the league, there's no denying I'm a quitter. I also just recently quit the OOWF. So I've shown a great deal lately that if I'm not enjoying something I'll try to stick with it in silence hoping I'll decide to become more active later, then just give up and quit.
At the end of the day I'm OK with that. Especially when the other option is paying for something I won't enjoy.

I think the draft was fine. It was just a case of people being impatient if someone took more than an hour to make a pick -- even though we had a 24-hour limit set.

We could just not pick the guys who are keepers, then take them as free agents after the draft and drop our last 3 picks.
But, yeah, getting everyone on the same page for a live draft would be a pain in the ass. If we're doing that, we should start discussing dates and times now.
I'm sorry, a live draft takes roughly 30-45 minutes. I wasn't aware it was so difficult for people to spare such an amount of time out of their busy schedules even tho the date can be set WAAAAAY in advance.
Yeah, totally. You pick a monday or thursday night when everyone is probably gonna be home watching TV anyway, and you pick then. If people work late you figure out how to work around it. It's not like we don't have 5-6 months to figure it out.

I don't think the winner should get #1. He wins. He should pick last. He clearly doesn't need the extra help.
That said, maybe the winner should get to keep one player of his choice that he drafted in the first 3 rounds.
This sounds like a fantastic idea to me. Just in general. Specifically, not because I won.
We should also seriously start considering draft order and time. How many people are left to play next year. If we get new people to play, where do they draft?

If you need someone, I might be interesting in playing. I'd need to see the rules (you seem to continue next year with the same core of players?) just so I can adjust, but I'd be willing to tag along. And I don't mind picking up a team of someone who leaves the pool... I'll just say that the managment has changed and that we are in a rebuilding process.
If you need someone to perenially occupy last place, I'm game. That's where I end up in every other fantasy league I'm in.

[SeamusMcNasty] And that is why I hate the Miz. He's got potential, but he just doesn't live up to it. Unlike Randy Orton, who has no potential and lives right up to that.
