This one is also extremely difficult. I loved both teams for completely different reasons. I might have to give the edge to the LOD for their promos, but then again Bret and Anvil had some great promos too. And both were fantastic in the ring as far as what they were trying to portray, even though, I'd give the edge to the Harts on that one.

And then, like I did with the other thread, there's the finishing manuevers. Hart Attack or Doomsday Device? Both are killer clotheslines. Both look pretty mean. Ack....

I like both teams, but could this be due to that most people as kids had WWF but NWA / WCW was harder to come by outside of the south?

Harts were obviously more technical, but the badd ass-ness of LOD was a sight to behold. Plus, they got to use Iron Man as their theme, and back then, NO ONE used real music as a theme. That's why I always loved ECW...

I think that's what it was for me. I was a HUGE Hart Foundation fan when I was younger, which translated into Bret Hart becoming one of my favorites of all-time when he got into singles. I didn't REALLY become aware of the Road Warriors until they made the jump to WWF in the early 90's. And even then, with me being a WWF mark, Demolition had already reserved a place in my heart for "badass, unstoppable, face-painted tag team" (even though I now readily admit that they were pretty much Road Warrior knockoffs).

Still, hell, even though I'm getting into this party late and I'm sure this debate has already happened in this showdown...for me, personally, I'd probably even take Demolition over the Road Warriors, just from my own, personal viewpoint. I'm sure that comment will piss off many old-school NWA/WCW fans.

I agree with about 90% of this, gooker. The only thing we differ on is that I was never much of a fan of Hart as a singles guy. I thought he worked better on a team.

And I just got done reading the "Demolition vs. Benoit/Malenko" voting thread and after seeing all the hate and vitriol Lucky was spewing against the Demos, FUCK, I wish I had been in here for that one! Oh well, I don't want to derail this thread so I'll just have to be content with seeing The Hart Foundation take out the Road Warriors.
