Brody and Topher grace aren't exactly the big names that will draw people in to a blockbuster. Yes, I know Brody won an academy award, but he to my knowledge, he hasn't done anything high profile. And T. Grace was a horrible choice of Eddie Brock. Sorry. If they want to make a ton of money, plug someone like Vin Diesel in there. Even though he's a lazy P.O.S., people will still go see an action movie with him in it.

I don't think Grace sucked as Brock. I think the entire movie sucked and its unfair to single him out for that. When I first read this thread, I kept assuming Brody was Adam Brody and I had no idea how that would have worked. Now with Adrien, it's a bit different. Grace can play a rookie type who will clearly be killed in a gruesome way about 2/3rds of the way through the movie.

I agree. Spider Man 3 blew on all levels, except the Sandman. Grace was no where near the down on his luck sympathetic loser pre-Venom Eddie Brock that he should have been.

To be fair, the article doesn't say either of them are meant to be that. For all we know, Brody's "hunter of men" descriptor could make him an FBI Profiler or something who co-ordinates manhunts, but isn't really a badass field agent or anything. If they end up being rounded up by the Predators rather than being actively after them, then I could could imagine a Predator observing Brody in his work and assuming that makes him some sort of respected "tribal chief" or something by the standards of Predator culture, and if Grace's character is going to be a serial killer, then he probably is pretty cunning and violent, and again might be observed making a kill by a Predator. If Grace was something like Elijah Wood as Kevin in Sin City, it might work.

Fishburne looks like a real badass in this

I had no clue they were putting Fishburne in this movie. He ups the ante. In all the original talk a few months ago, I had never heard his name. From the teaser trailer alone, it looks very badass.

Finally saw this over the weekend, and consider me officially very impressed. I thought Brody was beyond fantastic in the role and eased my apprehensions about his casting from the get-go. I even thought Grace was great in his role, too, even though I kept thinking "there's gotta be SOME reason they brought a 'doctor' to the planet, too".

Only mild bummer for me was that Fishburne was only in it for a very brief period of time. Great as usual for the bits he was in, though.

Oh, and huge thumbs up for the yakuza vs. predator hand-to-hand fight.
