I'm not sure what more I could do here other than plead my case.

I have no idea what people want on this board. The knock against me last year was having 1/3 of my programming being Game Shows and Reality, so I only took very limited amounts of that this year. I feel my network has something for everyone. It has The Wire, one of the best shows EVER. Oz, NYPD Blue, very highly acclaimed shows. I've got sci-fi type shows with Warehouse 13, Smallville, and Harper's Island. I've got sports related shows, poker related shows. I've got police procedurals and medical dramas. I've got a few comedies and a few action type shows. I've got wrestling.

The only thing that Angst has in spades over me is animated programming. I have none. I didn't really want any either, because outside of The Simpsons or Family Guy, there's nothing animated I'd want to see in primetime. And on Angst's network, there's nothing animated I'd watch except Batman: TAS, and that's only because it's really good. Are we really watching Penn & Teller over The Wire? Easte of Panic over Jericho? Robotech over Oz?

I understand it's all about taste, but I'm honestly shocked Angst got this far. I didn't expect to get this far either and I don't mind losing to a better network. But if I'm being honest, I dont' think Angst has a better network. But apparently 8 other people thinks he does, so I'm asking, what's the knock against me? Too many dramas? Not enough reality programming? Do I need more cartoons?

E, for me, it came down to this:

You have several shows I've never heard of (Crash, Dark Blue, Harper's Island, Royal Pains, Warehouse 13).

And you have several shows I've never seen (The Unit, The Wire, Nip/Tuck, Jericho, Monk, RoH, Hard Knocks, Friday Night Lights, Tilt, Las Vegas).

That's 15 hours of programming out of 28 that I've never seen either because I didn't know it existed or because I didn't care it existed. While I certainly wouldn't watch everything on Brad's channel, he has more shows that appeal to me.

It became obvious to me last time we did this that most of you guys watch way different tv shows than I do. I don't watch cartoons or sci-fi or game shows. I also don't watch shows that Sop, BC and SG seem to like. SG dropped my 1st round pick from last year, All In The Family, to add Girly Girl and the Teenagers, or something like that. I don't think I would watch angst's network at all. I don't mean that as a knock, we just like different shit. He likes the Ravens. I like teams that are 6 time Super Bowl Champions and make the Ravens their bitch. Eric and Creepy had the networks I would be most likely to watch.

Oh yeah, it's kinda weird to me that Hodgey has neither watched, nor has a desire to watch Hard Knocks.

I can't watch it. My dumbass cable provider doesn't carry NFL Network.

I think Hard Knocks is either an HBO or Showtime show. I beleive it's the latter, the more I think about it.

Watching some of my shows require you to be a fan of that genre, I realize that. But you're missing out if you havent seen The Wire. I just finished the entire series of Jericho and it's a fun watch too. Solly can back me up on The Unit. One of the better shows that should still be around.

Absolutely. If you like The Shield and/or Mamet's snappy dialogue, you would like The Unit. Plus you can't go wrong with Dennis Haysbert as the lead.

In my defense, most of the shows labeled as "reality" would be more accurately described as "educational". Cosmos, Penn & Teller, and Mythbusters aren't reality programming in the traditional sense at all. Estate of Panic is a game show, not reality. So I think a lot of my shows have been mislabeled. But it's no big deal.

To be completely honest, I'm surprised I've made it as far as I have. I'm glad that I have, but still surprised. Last year I went a little too geeky, so I decided to branch out a little bit more and it seems to have worked pretty well. But I'm still a geek, and so are most of the people on here, so I wasn't about to go completely non-geek with my line-up.

The thing that strikes me about Eric's network is that it has a couple of really great shows and then is absolutely loaded with mediocre ones. With my line up I tried to get the best possible shows I could spread across multiple genres with a slant towards geekiness. My greatest weakness is in a lack of solid realistic dramas, where Eric is chock-full of average ones. My greatest strength is that I think I have something for everyone, where with Eric, if you aren't into hour-long dramas, you've got little to look forward to.

Plus I have GIJoe/Transformers.

I checked. It's HBO. Doesn't matter anyway, though, as I don't get Showtime, and my HBO is "HBO Canada," which doesn't show Hard Knocks.
