While I have problems with Murder Inc. because I can't see a job which was
a) big enough to require 6 top assassins working on at once
b) well-paying enough that they'd all happily split the fee 6 ways, rather than kill each other,
I do see a better reason for them to exist than MM. So MI gets the vote.

Yeah, MM seems to lack any internal logic to me beyond the obvious name theme.

Even though you tossed me the vote, and a thank ya to you sir, but in the team explanation I had written that even though Murder Inc was filled with 6 killers, I had a way they'd get along and be a somewhat cohesive unit.


This is how I envisioned Murder Inc. after the draft had ended:

Backstory: Six assassins. Six murderers. A six armed female. Two raving lunatics who can't or won't shut up. Deadpool, Agent X, Taskmaster, Crossbones, Grendel, and Spiral all received the same message.

"Your special skill set is needed for a series of jobs. Please meet at the address below at the appropriate time. You will be more than adequately compensated for your time. Instructions will follow."

The six villains arrive at the location, a warehouse filled with enough armament to win a small war. All six start to question each other's intentions to get to the bottom of this mystery of who and why they were summoned here. On a white board in the middle of the warehouse are the group's selected targets. 12 men and women of varrying race, some mutant, some human. The six's orders? To murder each and every one of them. But why? After Grendel maims Deadpool for making fun of his mask(!), Deadpool reveals a clue while regenerating. The note he and the others received was signed by a "Mr. Tolliver. He explains that he once "knew a Mr. Tolliver, but he died when his helicopter exploded over 15 years ago." Crossbones and Taskmaster had just about heard enough and were ready to walk out of the warehouse when Agent X uncovers something else. On the reverse side of the board, there are 6 photos of something or someone each of the six hold near and dear. There is a note saying that these loved ones will be killed if Deadpool, Agent X, Crossbones, Taskmaster, Spiral, and Grendel do not cooperate with the mission.

Can this group of villains solve the mystery of why these 12 people are targeted for murder, and can they stop their own loved ones from being killed? Will Deadpool and Agent X drive everyone crazy with their non stop mouths? And who is this person going by the name of the previously deceased Mr. Tolliver? Will Deadpool successfully cop a feel on Spiral, only to get slapped from 6 hands from 6 different angles? All these answers and more in the upcoming series...
