Damn, I like Panther, Hawkgirl and Warpath but HATE HATE HATE Storm. But the other team really only has Phoenix for me to enjoy. Someone convince me.

"Cluster One" sounds like a breakfast cereal, but I like the top 3 enough to vote for them.

Bolt Action is a team that is put together in order to fight teams or enemies with "tons of power" (Galactus type thing). They are united for a common goal and only for that goal. That's why you can find Gladiator in a team on orders from the Sh'iar empire, if the mission fail, the Sh'iar empire would be at risk. Usually, any of these heroes can do it on there own but for this task, they will need every once of power from the 5 team members if they can even hope to make it. And some might not!

I don't know if it's a good argument, but it's what I had in mind when I built this team. I know some things don't make 100% sense, like Black Bolt and Hulk working together. But like I said, this mission they are on is bigger than any of them. Friction would be in the team at some point, but you can have that build up to a nice final issue where the Hulk sacrifices himself to save the team (and Black Bolt).

Now feel free to destroy everything I just said. We should debate more in these thing.... Hopefully someone will be on my side.

Habsy, I know what you mean with the whole Black Bolt/Hulk thing. I spent many rounds last year trying to defend how they would team together.

My fun with these drafts is the draft and trying to come off with 4 good teams. Of course I would like my teams to win, and of course I think they are the best. But if someone can't accept that Hulk and Black Bolt could work together (I'm using this example but it works in many others too), I can live with that. I'm sure Vince McMahon would love me team since he doesn't give a rats ass about continuality.

I think Gladiator and Black Bolt make good allies given that they're mutual enemies of the Kree, and I think that in and of itself is a solid enough argument for Gladiator's presence in the case of a big intergalactic crisis. Then you've got Hawkman who has all that Thannagar connection and it makes for a pretty damn bad ass space team, IMO. And the side effect of Bolt sending Hulk into space is he became another space dude with lots of travels and connections so he fits in that regard.

Now I haven't read Hulk or World War Hulk or any of that stuff so I really don't know how bad the divide between Hulk and Bolt are, although I can assume its BAD. Unfortunately for Habs the story I HAVE read is the Dark Phoenix Saga where Gladiator led the Imperial Guard to take out the X-Men so that the Shiar could execute Phoenix for genocide. So... that seems like a real personality conflict present on the team.

Still. I really like that team without continuity factored in... and it doesn't include Warpath or Spider-Man 2099.

I like Bolt Action. It's gratuitously overpowered without having bad overlaps like "Hulk/Son of Hulk" in last year's Worldbreaker team.
