Well, if you love tons of power, and can't argue. But I love my Untouchable team. I love my idea for them. I think they're a fun team and would make for a fun read. But again two completely different concepts fro team. But hey... the Guardians have a green lantern (like I don't know how many other teams), a super man knock off (like I don't know how many other teams), and some wanna be captain america (well the shield at least) (like I don't know how many other teams). I'll admit, I have a Hawkeye/green arrow/robin wanabe, but he's 1 of my heroes....

(Bracing myself for Lucky's onslaught)

No onslaught. Truth be told I really don't know enough about V to have any idea if or how he fits and the Phantom is little more than a bad Billy Zane movie and stories of a radio show to me. I guess you want me to take swipes like you did at mine and it seems kind of silly that you're criticize me for having "knockoffs" considering some of the criticisms that could be lobbied at your guys, but the truth is I really don't dislike any of them and I have no strong feelings on the team as a whole. But naturally I'm pulling for me team which I think came together as a really strong team could put up a fight against your Bolt Action team.



Vance Astro, Major Victory, is the displaced Earth Man from the 20th century who once led the 31st century Guardians of the Galaxy, wielding Captain America's fabled shield. Now he has once again collected some of the finest and most powerful heroes from around the universe. The Kree war hero and "Protector of the Universe", Captain Mar-Vell. One of the universe's most respected and powerful Green Lanterns, John Stewart. The young Kryptonian whose power matches that of her iconic cousin. And the former leader of and one of the most powerful members of the 30th Century Legion, Wildfire. Together Astro leads them as his new Guardians of the Galaxy, largely because I couldn't think of an original name.

Truth be told, Bolt Action was put together to battle teams like your Guardians... The Untouchables were not built to go up against power teams... But man, this is the luck of the draw.

From what I understand though, isn't the comic V less noble than the Movie version? V's an anarchist and actually intends to start a bloody rebellion, with no real wish for any particular outcome, just to cause chaos. I don't really know that his team-mates would appreciate that.

He his an anarchist because he is in a fascist world were everything is controlled. They made more freedom fighter in the movie, but he is similar in my eyes. Like Batman is a result of the crime in Gotham, V is the result of a totalitarian fascist government. He wants people to be able to think for themselves. I think he is still a hero. Some may argue he's a nut job, but the same can be said of Batman.
So he brings a little anarchy to the team... I think it's a good thing. I make it colorful and would make it a fun read.

Again, I just don't know V well enough to say. I read the book years ago, lend it out to someone when the movie came out, and never got it back. Barely remember it but had the same basic impression Stu had. But unable to REALLY debate it with the info I wasn't gonna make some wild claims I couldn't back up.

I love both of these teams. For opposite reasons: Guardians is filled with faves of mine and their raison d'etre needs no explanation. The Untouchables is mostly characters I don't love and who shouldn't fit together. But the concept and the story hook makes it work. Can't decide, open to convincing.

I really don't know what more to say other than what I already said. I think the story would be a fun read.
Like I said earlier, this is why these drafts are fun. Some go for stories, other for battle, some for both. I'm not a huge Space/Mega villain story man. So I prefer teams that are more.... limited I guess. But I get that people love the power teams with Thor, Silver Surfer, Green Lanterns and other (hell I have a team like that).

If I had the deciding vote, I'd have to make a call here, but since it ain't close, I'll abstain and at least not have to vote *against* either of these great teams.

Tough draw, Habsy. You should have gone further.
