And since the 1st isn't a Monday, I thought putting it back a tad allows me and Lucky more time to get the new shit ready.
Makes sense to me.
We ran the rule this way last year without issue, and if someone is a douche, I have the addendum to go over in case we have someone who is clocking out every other pick.
You were around last year, right? "Without issue" makes me think you weren't. I just think it shouldn't be a penalty for 2 straight, but 2 missed clocks overall. This way you don't have to interpret abuse of the rule.
I like 40 and it allows you to run a tourney, a battle royale, or other gimmick matches that we are wont to like around here.
Do we have to go to 40, or can we end early like last year?
My problem with requiring a second, third, whatever card is that some people love the storyline aspect, and others love the drafting aspect, so I thought this was a nice alternative.
I'm surely open to everyone's opinion and want it to be fun for everyone. It just seems that even when it was "not required", if you didn't - people would automatically vote against you.
But now it's not fun for everyone. I agree that it's stupid to vote against someone who doesn't make multiple cards. But it also seems silly to prohibit it. That wasn't the only factor people considered when they voted.
Then what could be a better reward then? It's cool that people don't like it, I was trying to think of something more hearty then a tag strap gimmick as a prize.
Second seeding, but then what if the same person wins both?
That's why I did the extra vote. But again, I'm open to everyone's wants as well.
Don't like the idea? Pitch me a better one please....
Simply average the two outcomes together and base the seeding on it. Then, if first round byes are needed, use the seeding.
