Oh, and what's this Wipeout show you're talking about?
People running a big obstacle course, and falling off into the water below, over and over again. In the UK this is called Total Wipeout, which must be what it did to the ratings, as it got cancelled. It was the replacement for the cancelled british version of this:
It would amuse me if next year Byrne did a women's fed or Texas fed. I'd just like to see how he tries to make it a dark, demonic, ECW homage led by James Mitchell or Raven. -- Lucky, 2009
see. i told you byrne was the way to go here. like i said, he's a big dork. -- Ziggy, 2009

Thanks, but I love Wipeout I was just making a joke about being gay.
Haven't watched last night's yet, so don't spoil it by saying somebody got hit in the face and fell in mud or anything.
There was actually a horse-faced "athletic" chick who did some impressive forward-roll hops while wiping out.
Also looking very forward to some of their previewed new obstacles, especially the one where you're balancing on the narrow ledge working your way across while avoiding a sweeper arm, then WHAM the wall you're balancing on smacks you in the face!
I would actually be very curious to see know the Ninja Warrior regulars would fare. There are some first-stage obstacles that are clearly impossible to pass.
Forgot to remind everybody about the season officially beginning last night. I've only seen the first 15 mins so far, but I LOVE those walls that knock the shit out of people!
I remembered last night that they're officially referred to as the "Fence Flappers". Fucking awesome. Absolutely loved seeing Fierce Dragon running full-body-first into the one and getting knocked back on his ass.
If they ever had an episode featuring both the Fence Flappers and The Hurtles, I may literally laugh myself to death.
