This mix is songs that not only I love but I'm sure most all of you do as well, with a few more obscure song for the sake of variety that I'm confident you'll like just as well as the classics if you take the time to listen. It's all uptempo and upbeat stuff picked to keep a party moving. It's built for win.
Sergei's Party Mix:
The second disc was going to be all kinds of music that I love that I'm not so confident the rest of you would share my love-- lots of New Wave, with Doo Wop, country, and rock and roll mixed in that fit with the general sound.
But then Jennifer asked me, "So, how many playlists are you making for this latest draft?" Two... "OK, then I want one of them to be for me." What? You want one to be all music I think you'll like? "No, not necessarily. I want it to be all music that makes you think of me." So if you need a mix to give a girl to say "I am hopelessly head-over-heels crazy about you"... well, you could do a lot worse than this:
For Jennifer:
The astute may have noticed that "The Chain" isn't on either of these. It was going to be on my original second disc. It is not uptempo or upbeat to fit my first disc, and, well, it's a breakup song. So, make an offer. Or be patient and wait for add-drop....
