ALL-TIME SUPERCARD WRESTLING DRAFT
Objective: Drafting matches from past supercards to create a 10 match wrestling extravaganza that Punsters would pay money to see over any other card created in this exercise.
Primary Limitations: Each person may only draft a wrestler, no matter if said wrestler changed names/gimmicks, etc, only once. Each person MAY draft wrestlers that have already been taken by other drafters. For instance, you can't take a Dustin Rhodes match AND a Goldust match. But if you take a Dustin Rhodes match, another person CAN take a Goldust match. (RUN-INS do not count as participation in a match - only advertised participants, which include mystery partners.)
Once a given match from a given card is drafted, it cannot be selected by another person. However, if the same wrestlers squared off on a different show, other variants of the same match may be selected by other drafters. For instance, I can take Lawler/Tazz from SummerSlam 2000, but you could take Lawler/Tazz from Unforgiven 2000.
Title Clause: Titles are treated the same as wrestlers - you may not have more than one defense of the same title on your own card. For instance, you can't take the Sid/Steiner WCW Title match from Starrcade 2000 and then later take the Nash/Savage Great American Bash '99 match. Someone else could however, take the Nash/Savage title match from Slamboree '99. In a title for title scenario, the title with the higher company prestige gets credit as having been defended. WWF World title vs. WWF Hardcore title counts as a WWF world title match. WCW world title vs. WWF world title counts as both a WCW World Title match and a WWF World title match. WCW titles thru December 2001 will be considered the same lineage as the NWA title that changed over in '90-'91.
Match Eligibility: Match must have happened on a generally recognized PPV/closed circuit event or pre-PPV era supercard. An internet PPV from an indy promotion IS eligible if it was a major event for the company. Weekly, episodic TNA PPV's from 2002-2004 are NOT eligible. Clash of the Champions and Saturday Night's Main Event matches ARE eligible. OOWF and other fantasy federation matches not eligible.
11/8: NJPW Super J Cup and G1 Tournament matches ARE permitted.
Time limit: 8 hour time limit to make your selection. No overnight stoppage of the clock. One missed clock drops you to a 4 hour clock. Two missed clocks and you're on autoskip.
Other Draft Caveats: Back to back picks count as one clock, make an ineligible pick and you forfeit your pick and the draft keeps moving, Mikey will make final call on any gray area in rules, Gator rule - Abe Lincoln is ineligible to be picked.
Draft will float over the weekend - picks can be made in order thru Sunday. Draft clock will officially start ticking at 8am EST on Monday, November 8.
