DRAFT RULES
POST-DRAFT VOTING
Hero teams on one side of the bracket, villain teams on the other. The finals will be the winning hero team vs. the winning villain team. Bracket makeup will depend on how many teams we end up with.
Draft Order
1. Brad
2. Eric (from Qonas)
3. Dougie
4. Byrnie
5. Qonas (from Eric)
6. Hodgey
7. Jobber
8. Gator
9. Mayhem
10. Mark
11. Sop
Missed Clocks
Mark (pick #54, 76, 79, 98) -- autoskip
Eric (pick #87, 112, 169) -- voluntary skip
Sop (pick #158) -- 8-hour clock
Mayhem (pick #300) -- 8-hour clock
Brad (pick #330, 374) -- 4-hour clock
- Everyone drafts 6 teams: three teams of heroes and three teams of villains.
- Each team will have 6 members.
- The guy under the mask is who's being drafted. If a costume has been used by multiple characters, each use of the costume is eligible.
- Alternate versions of characters are eligible if it's a different character under the mask than the original/well-known version.
- Also, you draft the guy under the mask, not the mask itself UNLESS the hero or villain is a spirit of some kind that takes over a host, in which case you're drafting the spirit, not the host.
- No set roster slots -- compose your teams as you see fit.
- All characters must have appeared in comic books before any other medium. However, certain exceptions will be made where the comic book version is clearly not the same as the original.
- If any question arises as to the eligibility of a pick, it will be up to the person making the pick to provide evidence of eligibility -- it's a big Internet. There's plenty of resources.
- 8-hour clock with NO overnight stoppage. If someone's clock runs out, the next person is on the clock, and the person who missed their clock can pick at any time (but a missed pick is a missed pick. If I take a guy you wanted after your clock ran out, you're SOL).
- If someone makes an ineligible pick (i.e., takes a character who appeared on TV before they appeared in comics, takes a character who's already been picked), it's as if their clock ran out. The next person is up, and the guy who made the ineligible pick can repick at any time. (If this comes up, it'll be up to the guy who follows the ineligible pick whether he wants to wait for the pick to be fixed or move along.)
- If you have back-to-back picks -- whether you're first or last in the order or you've traded for them -- you have 8 hours to make BOTH picks. Not 8 hours each, 8 hours total.
- If you have a floating pick and your turn comes around again, the first pick you make is the pick you're on the clock for, not the floating pick. If you make only one pick for whatever reason, you still have our existing floater to make.
- Clock penalties:
1 missed pick = no penalty
2 missed picks = 4-hour clock
3 missed picks = 4-hour clock still
4 missed picks = autoskip - 24-hour add/drop will start at noon ET the day after the final pick is made.
- Final teams must be submitted to me no later than 24 hours after add/drop ends. Submissions should be simply the team name and the team members. No pics, no formatting. Essentially, make it easy for em to copy and paste it into a showdown thread.
- If I don't get your final teams via PM by the specified time, your teams will be set in the order they were drafted. It won't be pretty.
