Hell on Earth: Battlefield Los Angeles
Angel (Matt Damon), the Vampire with a soul, sets into motion a course of events that will bring the Senior Partners (Clancy Brown & Lena Headey) to our world. The only person who can bring the pieces into place to stop the onslaught of the Senior Partners is Xander Harris (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). The former sidekick of the legendary Buffy Summers has been honing his skills as a Watcher. Two of his loyal Slayers, Reese and Vi (Jennifer Lawrence & Kate Mara) are the first to follow him into this war to end all wars.
But as they enter these battles, the enemies are both close and far. From the mysterious Immortal (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) to the Senior Partners hand-picked champion, Hamilton (Jeremy Renner) can they overcome the odds. Standing in the way of our white hats are Hamilton's own brainwashed Evil Slayers, Akira & Ren (Chiaki Kuriyama & Katie Holmes).
The battle takes place in Los Angeles. The war takes place on Earth. Can good overcome evil or is the deck stacked against two unlikely allies and whatever forces they can get to back them up. Directed by the genius mind of David Fincher, the man behind Fight Club & The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo based on a screenplay adapted by the man who created Lost, Fringe, and Alias, JJ Abrams
The Death Pool
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock
Written by Agatha Christie
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Cillian Murphy, Gene Hackman, David Bowie, Wilt Chamberlain, Truman Capote, with Dennis Hopper and Robert DeNiro.
In this riveting Hitchcock-directed, Christie-written classic, four professional friends (DiCaprio, Cooper, Murphy, Banks) who meet on a weekly basis to discuss all things local and wordly, are interupted at their normal bar on evening by a highly eccentric man (Hopper) who rants on anything or anyone that they question him about. Pretty soon, any famous person the eccdentric man mentions unexpectantly dies in an unusual manner. The friends at first think that it is all a coincidence until too many odd deaths occur. Was the eccentric man a seer, coincidental, or is this all part of a major conspiracy? Meanwhile, there is a love triangle concerning Dicaprio and Cooper with Banks and a snooping private eye in Hackman. Chamberlain, Capote, Bowie and DeNiro play themselves.
