The Power of Four
1942. Six months after Pearl Harbor, the Axis forces prepare for an even more devastating attack on Allied targets. Nearing completion of their own crude atomic weaponry, a brave British spy (Helen Mirren) notifies British intelligence that their bomb is almost ready.
Four operatives from the still-in-its-infancy 007 program (Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Hugh Jackman, and Liam Neeson) are dispatched into the heart of Germany to find the bomb, remove it, and destroy any evidence of its existance. Unbeknownest to them, the Americans have also learned about the weapon, and have sent it their own team of four (George Clooney, Matt Damon, Timothy Olyphant, and Kurt Russell), all of whom trained in the Super-Soldier program until it was sabotaged months earlier in Brooklyn.
The two teams meet, and must work together to get into Berlin and complete their mission. Standing in their way is an Axis strike force (led by Anthony Hopkins, with Ryan Gosling, Rutger Hauer, Bruce Lee, David Morse, and Ron Perlman). Who lives, who dies... who wins?
Runaways
In a film written by Brian K. Vaughn, the creator of these characters as well as last year's finalist film Y: The Last Man. He's a 4-time Eisner Award winner and he's worked on "Lost" and will be adapting Stephen King's "Under The Dome" before beginning work on Runaways.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the man who helped rejuvenate the X-Men series with X-Men: First Class and the director behind the adaptations of Kick-Ass and Kick-Ass 2 as well as the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, Matthew Vaughn knows superheros, he knows teams, and he knows families. He's perfect for Runaways.

Runaways
Runaways is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The series features a group of teenagers who discover that their parents are part of an evil crime group called the Pride. Created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, the series debuted in July of 2003 as part of Marvel Comics' "Tsunami" imprint. The series had been canceled in September 2004 at issue eighteen, but due to high numbers of trade collection sales, Marvel revived the series in February 2005.
Originally, the series featured a group of six kids whose parents routinely met every year for a charity event. One year, the kids spy on their parents and learn they are "the Pride", a criminal group of mob bosses, time-travelers, dark wizards, mad scientists, alien invaders and telepathic mutants. The kids steal weapons and resources from their parents, and learn they themselves inherited their parents' powers; Alex Wilder, a prodigy, leads the team while Nico Minoru learns she is a powerful witch, Karolina Dean discovers she is an alien, Gertrude Yorkes learns of her telepathic link to a dinosaur, Chase Stein steals his father's futuristic gloves, while young Molly Hayes learns she is a mutant with incredible strength. The kids band together and defeat their parents, and atone for the sins of their parents by fighting the new threats trying to fill in the Pride's void. After being betrayed by Alex he is killed by the Gibborim (The Pride's God), they are later joined by cyborg Victor Mancha, shape-shifting Skrull Xavin, and plant-manipulator Klara Prast.
Ever since the original groups' introduction, the Runaways have been portrayed as a somewhat dysfunctional yet loving family. Series creators Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona left the series at issue twenty-four of the title's second volume. The second volume was continued by Joss Whedon and Michael Ryan until they departed at issue thirty. Writer Terry Moore and artist Humberto Ramos became the creative team for two story arcs. After one issue written by Christopher Yost and James Asmus, Kathryn Immonen and Sara Pichelli became the new creative team. The book is currently on hiatus; the last issue released was Volume 3, number 14, in 2009.
