ok, I know we voted on it, and it didn't pass, but I want to voice my objection, again, on randomizing the draft. If a team wins it all, they shouldn't have a shot at the #1 pick too, that just doesn't seem fair. On the other hand, you don't want bad teams purposely tanking to try and snag the top pick either, that messes up the competitive balance of the season.

So, perhaps a solution?

playoff teams are locked in at 6-12 (top seed getting the 12th pick, etc.) for the non-playoff teams, use the random selection for that. That way you all have the same shot at the #1 pick

Seems fair, no?
