I can't stand much new horror (with the exception of your personal favorite movie, 28DL). The Ring, Final Destination, The Grudge, none of it is even remotely scary to me. Horror has lost something over the years, and sometimes I think the 80's had the last of what was good.
I agree with that. Although, I did like the Ring, it pales in comparison to the goodness of late 70s to late 80s horror.
I console myself with the fact that even if 28 Days Later had made it through (which it should have, you infected-hating bastards), I would have had to vote against it right now. It's way easier to say peace out to Christian Bale.
Wow, it's amazing what you actually notice when you are really paying attention. I decided to actually look around my office at my coworker's desks to try and find something related to the movies. First a little history lesson about the office.
About a year and a half ago the office was all Men (4 people). It was a very interesting group especially during college football season. We had a Gator Grad, a Vol Grad, a lifelong Georgia fan, and a Seminole. Then one by one the other three guys left the office for other positions and each one was replaced with a female. So now instead of football talk I constatntly hear talk about candles and celebrity gossip.
Well this happens to help me out today. I KNOW two of the girls have tons of Disney junk all over their desks but I never really pay attention to it. Surely there must be something to help us out. So do I look left or right first? I chose left and sitting right there on the desk was a Lady & the Tramp musicbox. The irony of it all is that if I looked right first I would have seen my other coworker's two Incredibles Pez dispensers. But I chose left and the winner of this round is Lady & the Tramp is a SHOCKING upset.
