Trump Wrestling Association (TWA): Even Odds
The Rock and “Soulman” Rocky Johnson vs. “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig and “Better Than Perfect” Joe Hennig
Shawn Stasiak vs. Mark Jindrak with Sunny in a neutral corner
TWA Tag Team Title Match: Strike Force (c) (Tito Santana and Rick Martel) with Stacy Keibler vs. Faces of Fear (Barbarian and the Warlord) with Bobby “the Brain” Heenan
R-Truth vs. Col. DeBeers
The Big Show vs. “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin
Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Marc Mero
Preshow dark matches Marty Jannetty vs. Vladimir Koslov Badd Company (Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond) vs. the Natural Born Thrillers (Chuck Palumbo and Mike Sanders) The Mighty Igor vs. the Warlord
Show summary Segment 1: The Rock starts off the show in the ring and demands Curt Hennig face him right then right there for the TWA Title. Hennig and Heenan come out and protest Rock being number one contender since he won last week by count out.
Donald Trump comes out and says the match will happened at the next show, Winner Takes It All. It’ll be a throw in the towel match. Each man must choose a second to be at ringside. The loser is the man whose second throws in the towel and concedes the match on their behalf. Rock chooses his dad, Rocky Johnson, and Heenan says he’ll naturally fill the role for Curt.
Segment 2: Jake Roberts keeps looking at the entrance. The announcers theorize his test for Stardust this week is to see if he’ll jump Roberts like he’s attacked him the previous weeks. Roberts beats Marc Mero with a DDT.
Roberts calls Stardust out, but gets Trump instead. Trump wanted to suspend Roberts for kidnapping Eden Stiles, Cody’s wife, last week, but Rhodes asked that he not do that. Instead he wanted Roberts in the ring and for Trump to turn a blind eye to anything that might happened. To that end, the bout will be a lights out match, meaning it won’t be sanctioned by the TWA and therefore won’t be subject to its rules and regulations. Roberts has to sign a waiver and does. Trump asks if he noticed the other signature on the waiver. It didn’t say Stardust, it said Cody Rhodes.
Segment 3: R-Truth finds Eric Young in the back and asks for a TWA Wild Card Title match. He checked and Young doesn’t have an opponent booked yet for the night. Young said that’s because he’s injured, but he’ll give Truth a shot at Winner Takes It All.
He asks if there’s anything else Truth is afraid of other than spiders. Truth said he doesn’t like heights. So, a ladder match would be bad? Yeah. Ok, Young will make sure to ask fans not to suggest and vote for a ladder match. He also doesn’t want Truth to get rusty and promises to get him a warmup match tonight.
Segment 4: Paul Orndorff comes out again and stands at ringside as Big Show fights Ronnie Garvin. A distracted Show is knocked to the floor by Garvin. Orndorff and Show brawl off and Garvin wins by count out. Garvin takes the microphone post match and says Orndorff and Show should work out their differences in a match and he offers himself as the special guest referee.
Segment 5: Marc Mero takes Jim Clovin to talk with Donald Trump. Clovin confesses that he’s a janitor at Trump Plaza and he faked his way into being a wrestler to impress his 8-year-old son, whose loves wrestling. The boy comes in and shows Trump drawings he’s made of TWA wrestlers, including his father. He came up with the top hat, tails and tie look, because the boy said his mom said the number one thing he liked about his dad was that he was a gentleman. Mero asks if the boy would like to see his father face Mero next week. Mero promises to train Clovin and Trump consents.
Segment 6: Strike Force wins their tag title match with the Faces of Fear thanks to heel miscommunication. A brawl breaks out after the match. Warlord, Ton Zenk and Marty Jannetty all get involved. Trump comes out and tells everyone to cool it. He books a Wargames match for Winner Takes It All. Since the Hennig, Orndorff and Big Show are all busy then that only leaves one member of the Heenan family left to fill in with Haku, Barbarian and Warlord; that would be Heenan himself. Heenan freaks out.
Segment 7: Truth beats Col. DeBeers clean. DeBeers and Koslov do a beat down post match. Othello comes out for the save. DeBeers backs off and asks for a handshake. Othello considers it, but DeBeers spits at him instead and runs away.
Segment 8: Curt Hennig visits his son Joe. Since Heenan can’t be his second at ring side next week, he asks Joe to do it. Curt hands Joe his ever present hand towel. Joe takes it and they hug. Curt then asks Joe to be tag team partner tonight against Rocky and Rock.
Segment 9: Shawn Stasiak vs. Mark Jindrak. Badd Company and the Natural Born Thrillers come out. They brawl at ringside, distracting the referee. This allows Jindrak to knock out Stasiak with a roll of silver dollars from the casino hidden in his tights. He throws them out of the ring. Sunny picks them up, but hides them instead of telling the ref. Jindrak wins.
Everyone argues in the back after the match. Sunny says the two factions should face each other at Winner Takes It All with the winner getting the ultimate prize, her.
Segment 10: Curt and Joe Hennig beat the Rock and Rocky Johnson when Curt pins Rocky. The Rock jumps Curt and Rocky goes after Joe post match and the faces leave the heels lying with stereo Rock Bottoms. Trump Wrestling Association (TWA): Winner Takes All
Throw in the Towel Match for the TWA World Title inside the Wargames cage: “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig(c) with “Better than Perfect” Joe Hennig vs. the Rock with “Soulman” Rocky Johnson. Loser is the man whose second at ringside throws in a towel and concedes the match on their behalf. (Joe has no choice but to throw in the towel and let the Rock become the new TWA Champion after Mr. Perfect is cut open so bad on the steel cage that bleeds so much he passes out, echoing how the Rock passed out in the gauntlet cage prior)
Wargames: Mexi-Can-Am Connection (Tito Santana, Rick Martel, Tom Zenk and Marty Jannetty) with Stacy Keibler vs. Heenan Family (Haku, Barbarian, Warlord and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan) (Heenan is the last man in for his team and submits after being put in the Boston Crab by Rick Martel and the other faces hold the Heenan Family off) The Big Show vs. “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff with special guest referee “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin (Show gets into with Garvin and Garvin knocks him out with his Hands of Stone, allowing Orndorff to get the pinfall)
Ladder match for the TWA Wild Card Title: Eric Young (c) vs. R-Truth (Truth can’t climb the ladder, because he gets scared. Young retrieves the belt, but Truth knocks the ladder away and catches the belt as Young drops it as he falls. Referees Tommy Young and Scott Armstrong confer and declare Truth the winner as the rules state the winner is not simply the man who takes the belt off the hook, but the man who has it on the mat, signaling the official end of the bout. Truth is the new Wild Card Champion)
Othello with Marc Mero vs. Col. DeBeers with Vladimir Koslov. Winner has the choice of spitting in the face or shaking the hand of the loser (Othello wins and offers DeBeers his hand. DeBeers refuses and tries to leave, but Othello grabs him by the hand, shakes it and pulls him into a Samoan Drop that leaves him lying)
Badd Company (Pat Tanaka and Paul Diamond) and Shawn Stasiak vs. The Natural Born Thrillers (Mark Jindrak, Chuck Palumbo and Mike Sanders). Winners get the managerial services of Sunny. (Sunny cheats on behalf of the NBT and goes with them)
Marc Mero vs. “Gentleman” Jim Clovin (Mero wins, but Clovin gets a TWA contract from Donald Trump)
Lights Out Match: Jake “the Snake” Roberts vs. Cody Rhodes. Match is not sanctioned by TWA and is therefore not under standard TWA rules and regulations. (Rhodes wins)

Segment 1: In-ring presentation of the TWA World Title to Curt Hennig
Cameras come on to Donald Trump standing in the middle of the ring holding the TWA World Title and a microphone. Behind him are a smiling Heenan Family. Bobby Heenan praises Curt Hennig, the new TWA Champion. He misses the sneer Paul Orndorff shoots at the Big Show, who stoically stares ahead with his arms crossed.
Trump: Welcome to TWA All Bets Are Off. It is my great pleasure to award the Trump Wrestling Association Title to our inaugural champion, the man who won a gauntlet cage match last week at Four the Hard Way, “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig.
Hennig steps forward as the crowd jeers.
Heenan: All you humanoids need to recognize the perfection before you and respect the new TWA World Champion. He’s not the champion you deserve, but the one you’re blessed to have.
Heenan takes the title belt from Trump and goes to put it around Hennig’s waist as he stands with his hands on his hips and gaze toward the ceiling.
“If you smell…what the Rock is cooking.”
The crowd explodes as a familiar guitar sting fills the air and the most electrifying man in sports entertainment emerges from the back. Heenan yells at Trump, asking what Rock is doing coming out and spoiling their ceremony. Hennig calmly observes and steps to the side as Rock enters.
Rock: Whoa…whoa…whoa, there Weasel. You need to cool it on the big talk. The perfect champion? All I see is the perfect jabroni.
The Rock is out here to make one thing perfectly clear to the millions…and millions of the Rock’s fans across the globe. Curt Hennig did not beat the Rock in the gauntlet cage match last week. The Rock beat the Rock.
The Rock went through two of the toughest men in this sport today. The Rock suffered the ravages of the steel cage. The Rock took the pain of two figure fours. The Rocks smells like smoke, because he has been through fire. And it was only at the breaking point of human endurance that the Rock’s body gave out on him and laid on the mat for a three count. A three count Curt Hennig didn’t earn. He had two men and a steel cage do all the work before he came along. And in the end, make no mistake, the Rock beat the Rock and the Rock deserves a title shot tonight!
The crowd roars with approval.
Heenan: Back of the line, pal. We’ve already arranged to face “Rugged Ronnie Garvin tonight.
Hennig: Do I like Ronnie Garvin? No. Do I respect Ronnie Garvin? Yes. That’s more than I can say for you Dwayne
Rock: Hold up…Dwayne…Dwayne! There are only two men alive on this planet who can call me Dwayne and one of them sure the hell aint’ you. That’s my father, Rocky Johnson, and that man sitting at ringside, Gordon Solie.
Rock points at Solie who silently nods his head in agreement.
Rock: And do you know why they can do that? It’s what you were just talking about, CURT! Respect. The Rock respects them and they respect the Rock. The Rock doesn’t respect you and you don’t respect the Rock so I guess we’re even there. Now, why don’t you take that shiny new title belt of yours, shine it up even more, bend over and have your pet weasel shove it straight up your candy ass!
Rock and Hennig look close to blows. Heenan tries to get in between them. The rest of the Heenan family look poised to jump in.
Trump: Alright, alright. Everyone needs to calm down. Rock, I agree you deserve another title shot, but Ronnie Garvin, even though you beat him last week, has been granted the opportunity here tonight against Mr. Perfect. However, I think a title shot could come your way if you were to win a match here tonight.
Rock: The Rock can be agreeable to that. Whose ass is the Rock kicking tonight?
Trump: How about him?
Trump points to the Big Show and the crowd stirs. Show nods his head, seemingly okay with the notion. Orndorff jumps up to Heenan and says it should be him. Heenan backs him off.
Rock: The Big Slow? He needs to paint his ass green and get back out in the cornfield. And he can take the three nibblets next to him with him (indicating the Powers of Fear).
Heenan: Hold on, Trump. The Rock interrupts our title ceremony and you reward him with a chance to face Curt Hennig. Not so fast. If the Rock can earn a title shot, I want the Faces of Fear to be able to get a tag title shot against Strike Force. Those belts would be around their waists right now if wasn’t for the interference of Marty Jannetty, who joined the Mexi-Can-Am Connection so conveniently after the tag match where nobody from those ham and eggers were permitted at ringside.
Trump: Fair enough. If Haku and Barbarian beat Jannetty and Tom Zenk tonight, they’ll get a tag title shot.
Heenan holds his hand out to shake on the deal. Trump stares down at the outstretched palm for a second before exiting the ring.
The Rock looks over at Show, who doesn’t betray any emotion. Rock then keeps his eyes on Hennig as he exits.
Segment 2: Backstage interview with Strike Force
Bob Uecker: I’m here in the back with Rick Martel and Tito Santana of the TWA World Tag Team Champions, Strike Force. Martel defeated Paul Orndorff and Santana won by disqualification over Jake Roberts in dark matches before the start of the show this evening. Those matches will be exclusive to the All Bets Are Off home releases.
Gentlemen, you defeated the Faces of Fear last week in a tornado tag match to claim the TWA Tag Team Titles. Your thoughts on them getting another chance if they defeat your compadres Tom Zenk and Marty Jannetty later tonight.
Martel: That was one of the toughest fights Tito and I…
Martel is interrupted by the Heenan Family as they make their way past the interview stage after coming from the ring.
Barbarian and Haku grunt and point their fingers. “We’re coming for you,” they snarl. “This isn’t over.” Santana points his finger back and shouts.
Santana: That’s right, this isn’t over. We’ll fight any member of the Heenan Family any time, any place in any kind of match and that goes for Zenk and Jannetty.
Martel: If the Faces of Fear can beat the Am in the Mexi-Can-Am Connection tonight, then there will be no questions in our minds they deserve another title shot. If, they get fairly that 1…2…3…
Martel claps his hands for emphasis as he says the numbers. The duo exit.
Segment 3: Stardust vs. Pat Tanaka
Eden Stiles: Our first match this evening has a 15 minute time limit. Introducing first from Honolulu, Hawaii, at a weight of 225 pounds, Pat Tanaka, with Sunny.
And his opponent from the Fifth Dimension at a weight of 220 pounds, Stardust.
Gordon Solie: This is Gordon Solie at ringside and back with me after a vacation at Graceland courtesy of Bobby Heenan, is the Honky Tonk Man.
HTM: Good to be back, Gordon, good to be back. And let me thank Mr. Heenan for the gracious offer he made me last week, even if the Cadillac he gave me was a hunk of junk that broke down halfway there.
Solie: I doubt that was a gift from the kindness of his heart, but more just to get you away so he could be at ringside as a commentator, even though he was banned for the tag team title match last week.
HTM: That’s none of my business.
Solie: Not being here, you missed Jake Roberts attacking Cody Rhodes and promising even more destruction this week. What that could be is anybody’s guess, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we know what it is by the end of this contest. ………. Cut to the finish
Stardust climbs to the top turnbuckle as Tanaka lays prone on the mat after a powerslam. Sunny jumps up on the apron. Stardust jumps down to the apron and screams at Sunny before she can do anything. Sunny, startled, falls back. Tanaka flies in out of nowhere and drives a knee into Rhodes through the ropes, sending him to the floor. Tanaka follows with a suicide dive. Referee Scott Armstrong starts a double count out.
Jake Roberts appears from the back.
Solie: As predicted, Jake Roberts has made his presence known before the end of this contest. Let’s see what he does to Rhodes.
Roberts walks past Stardust. He picks up Tanaka and throws him into the ring, while Sunny has Armstrong distracted. He then continues around the ring to the commentators’ side.
Armstrong finishes his count, giving Tanaka the win by countout.
Stiles: And your winner by countout…
Roberts: Give me that microphone…
As has happened the past two weeks, Roberts rips the microphone out of Stiles’ hand. However, this time he drops it to the floor and then picks up Stiles, slinging her over his shoulder.
Stiles screams, kicks and punches Roberts in the back. Roberts circles the ring and past the still down Stardust. He gives Rhodes a few boots to the back of the skull as he goes past.
Solie: This is just too far. Roberts is kidnapping our ring announcer Eden Stiles. Few fans might know that Stiles is Cody Rhodes’ real life wife.
HTM: I watched last week’s show and Roberts did promise something that would affect Rhodes’ life and send him down the path he wanted him too. Yet, even I can’t condone something as heinous as taking another man’s wife. Segment 4: Backstage confrontation with R-Truth, Eric Young and Jim Clovin
Eric Young walks through the halls with the TWA Wild Card Title over his shoulder. Jake Roberts walks by with Stiles over his shoulder, still struggling to get free.
Young watches them walk past and then says low, “man, if I had a nickel for every time I had to get a chick that way.”
Young turns back around and is stunned to run smack into R-Truth.
Truth: C’mon man, you got to give me another chance at the Wild Card Title. All this spiders stuff isn’t fair man. Spiders in the title belt. Bag of spiders on a pole match last week.
Young: I’d love to give you another chance tonight Truth, but…uh, I already have an opponent.
Young: Yeah…uh…that guy over there!
Young points a finger and the camera turns to find “Gentleman” Jim Clovin stuffing his face full of cocktail shrimp at a catering table. Clovin wipes his face and comes over.
Clovin: Oh, yes, it would be my great pleasure to have an opportunity to wrest the Wild Card Title from you Mr. Young in a rich donnybrook.
Truth: Huh? What’d he say?
Young: I think he said wrestling me for the belt would be cool.
Clovin: Most assuredly. Tell me, what stipulation chosen by the fans will we contest under.
Young pulls out a cell phone.
Young: Let me see. Here we go, looks like the most favorites on Twitter went to a tables match.
Young: Oh bother.
Truth: I know that one. He’s worried. Winnie the Pooh says that. Segment 5: The Mighty Igor and Rocky Johnson vs. Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak
Kelly Kelly: Our next bout is a tag team match with a 20 minute time limit. Introducing first, accompanied by Sunny, at a combined weight of 507 pounds, Mark Jindrak and Shawn Stasiak.
Solie: With Eden Stiles being carried off by Jake Roberts, our resident ring girl and timekeeper Kelly Kelly has taken over as in-ring announcer. I’m being told that Cody Rhodes is desperately searching the back for his wife now as the show continues.
Kelly: And their opponents, at a combined weight of 549 pounds, The Mighty Igor and Rocky Johnson
The faces slap hands with fans as they rush to ringside. Jindrak seems cool, but Stasiak argues with Sunny about Rocky Johnson being Igor’s surprise partner.
Solie: After losing to Igor last week, Sunny said she would be paring Stasiak with a man she had her eye on, his former tag team partner in the Natural Born Thrillers, Mark Jindrak.
HTM: That was dependent on Igor finding a tag team partner. I didn’t think anyone would be stupid enough to tag with the imbecile, but I guess if there’s anyone who is used to being in the company of a fool, it’s the Rock’s daddy. ……… Cut to the Finish.
Igor works a bearhug on Stasiak while Johnson cheers him on from the apron. Stasiak pushes against the big man and stretches his arm out to Jindrak in the corner. Jindrak has one hand on the tag rope and holds his other arm as far out as it will go.
Rocky tells his partner to flip Stasiak. He shrugs his shoulders and flattens Stasiak into the mat with a belly to belly suplex. Sunny shakes her head in disbelief from the floor. Stasiak raises his shoulder at two. Igor tags Johnson.
Johnson reaches down to pull Stasiak up who fires a few punches into Johnson’s stomach. The Soulman doubles over and Stasiak scores a facebuster. He falls back and moves to his corner. He’s within mere inches of tagging Jindrak…who pulls his arm back and drops to the floor. He takes a walk. Sunny yells at him, asking what he’s doing, and follows him to the back, begging him to return. Stasiak lays on the mat, shocked in Jindrak bailing on him.
Stasiak turns around just in time to see Igor slamming his partner down on top of Stasiak. The impact flattens Shawn and Johnson makes the cover for the win.
Segment 6: Backstage confrontation between Shawn Stasiak and the Natural Born Thrillers
Stasiak holding his stomach and the back of his head catches up with Sunny and Jindrak arguing in the back.
Stasiak goes to open his mouth to ask what the big deal was, but is immediately jumped by Chuck Palumbo and Mike Sanders.
Jindrak hovers over Stasiak. Sunny is beside herself, not knowing what to do.
Jindrak: Guess what, bro? I decided to get the band back together, but without you. The Natural Born Thrillers have decided they don’t need you. Now, a manager, that could be another story.
Jindrak winks at Sunny as he walks off with Palumbo and Sanders in tow. Sunny kneels down to help Stasiak, but watches the NBT exit with a curious stare.
Segment 7: Othello with Marc Mero vs. Vladimir Koslov with Col. DeBeers
Kelly: Our next match has a 15 minute time limit. Introducing first from Moscow, Russia, at a weight of 302 pounds and accompanied by Colonel DeBeers, Vladimir Koslov.
Solie: Wayne, you missed an impressive debut last week from the massive Othello as Marc Mero’s tag team partner against White Power. There’s something to be said for DeBeers handing this match off against Othello to Koslov and not taking it himself.
HTM: DeBeers is the colonel, Koslov is the foot solider. If I know DeBeers, he’s using this match as a scouting mission. He’s figuring out Othello’s weaknesses for when they inevitably tangle.
Kelly: And, his opponent, at a weight of 335 pounds and a height of seven feet tall from Oakland, California, along with Marc Mero, this is Othello! ……… Cut to the finish.
Koslov has Othello down on the mat and kicks him in the back of the head. DeBeers yells at Koslov to keep it up. Koslov straddles Othello from behind and rakes at his eyes and nose. Mero takes exception with referee Tommy Young and jumps on the apron to protest.
Seeing this, Koslov pushes Othello over to the ropes and DeBeers. DeBeers continues to claw at Othello’s face while Koslov goes back to kicking him. Mero points and yells and Young turns back to the match.
As he does so, DeBeers spits in Othello’s face. With a mighty roar, he springs to his feet. Koslov punches away to no affect. He kicks at the midsection with no affect. DeBeers face betrays that he knows he did wrong in angering the black giant.
Othello picks up the 300-pounder and slams him down with a standing spinebuster and a mighty yell. Othello skips into the air and comes down with a leg drop. That gets the win. Othello slides to the floor as soon as the bell rings and chases DeBeers to the back. Segment 8: Stardust catches up with Jake Roberts and Eden Stiles
Solie: I’m being told Jake Roberts has let his whereabouts with Cody Rhodes’ wife finally known to one of our cameramen even as Rhodes continues to desperately search the back for the pair. We go there now.
Jake Roberts is shown sitting in a shower room. Stiles is in his lap, his hand tight across her mouth. She whimpers and her eyes show terror, but she’s come to terms that struggling is useless.
Roberts: Test 2 Cody. I told you it would change you forever. See I know if you want to take somebody out, you don’t go after them, you go after what they hold most precious.
You might ask how I can do something so despicable as putting my hands on another man’s wife. You see, Cody, I’ve been there. I saw Rick Rude gyrate his hips in front of my wife, Cheryl. I didn’t like it, I didn’t like it one bit. And you know what I did. I fought him like I never fought before. That’s test two, Cody, fight or flight.
Roberts nuzzles closer to Stiles’ neck and she closes her eyes.
Roberts: Eden, what a lovely name. Reminds me of the Garden of Eden. There was a snake there too. One snake changed the whole course of human events… Roberts is cut off as Rhodes flies into the shower room. He tackles Roberts and they go sliding across the floor as Stiles is knocked loose.
Rhodes: Get out of here, Eden. Run. Stiles is frozen with fear. Rhodes disengages from Roberts and takes his wife by the shoulders. He pushes her out of the shower room and into the locker bay, heading for the door.
Rhodes: Go! Go!
Roberts comes from behind and attacks Rhodes. He rips him from Stiles and throws him into the lockers. Roberts smashes a door into his head. Stiles flees while her husband lays unconscious on the floor.
Roberts crouches down over the out Rhodes.
Roberts: Interesting. A mix. You fought to flee. Progress, but not much. Test three next week, Cody, make sure to have your pencils sharp. Segment 9: Eric Young vs. Jim Clovin for the TWA Wild Card Title in a tables match
Kelly: Our next contest is a tables match with no time limit. The winner is the man who can put his opponent through one of the tables here at ringside. Introducing the challenger from…well, I guess parts unknown and weight unknown, “Gentleman” Jim Clovin.
Solie: It’s strange, after three weeks little is still known about the man in the top hat and tails who seems to keep finding his way into matches.
HTM: Clovin hasn’t shown anything to warrant a Wild Card Title match, but I defer to the champion, he must see something in Clovin.
Solie: Possibly that’s just an easy win and an excuse not to face the man he’s bamboozled for two weeks straight, R-Truth.
Kelly: And his opponent, the TWA Wild Card Champion from Nashville, Tennessee at a weight of 225 pounds, Eric Young. ……….. Cut to the finish.
Solie: This match has been all Young. He’s seemingly been toying with Clovin, who is obviously much less skilled than the Wild Card champion.
HTM: Even I have to admit this has become sad to watch, Gordon. Young needs to do the humane thing here and put this dog down. Young lines up a suplex near the ropes. He looks behind him to make sure a table is lined up how he wants it. The crowd sparks as R-Truth runs from the back.
HTM: Truth has no business out here. If he throws this match Clovin’s way it will be the biggest travesty I’ve ever seen in the ring. And I’ve seen Gene Okerlund wrestle. Truth attacks Young from behind. The duo brawl out of the ring and to the floor. Young goes for a piledriver on Truth, but he raises up and Young lands back first on a table. Truth turns around and barks at Clovin to go up top. The fans rally and Clovin nervously points at the top turnbuckle.
Clovin climbs up and seems scared by the sight below him. He covers his eyes with both hands. Truth yells at him to jump. As he launches himself, Young rolls off. Clovin crashes through the table in a heap.
Kelly: By self elimination, Jim Clovin has lost this bout and Eric Young is still the TWA Wild Card Champion.
Segment 10: Bob Uecker and Donald Trump talk about Jim Clovin
Uecker: I’m telling you Trump, this guy Clovin is pulling a Willie Mays Hays on you. Trump: A what?
Uecker: You know, like in my movie “Major League.” Wesley Snipes’ character, Willie Mays Hays, shows up at training camp for the Indians out of the blue. Nobody knows anything about him, but he starts working out and making the team because he’s pretty good. The only difference here is that Clovin stinks.
Truth helps Clovin to the back. Marc Mero sees what’s going on and comes up to help, putting his head under the other shoulder Truth isn’t supporting.
Truth: You’ll get him next time, no worries, Pooh-Bear.
Trump: I don’t think there is going to be a next time.
Trump leans down to look in the face of the dazed Clovin.
Trump: Mr. Clovin, we can’t find proof of you ever signing a TWA contract. None of my executives or scouts have any idea who you are. I recommend you leave now before I’m forced to take action against you being here under false pretenses.
Truth: Oh, bother!
Segment 11: Tom Zenk and Marty Jannetty vs. Haku and Barbarian
Kelly: Our next match has a 20 minute time limit and if the first competitors win, they will be granted a TWA Tag Team Titles match against Strike Force. Accompanied by Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and at a combined weight of 608 pounds, Haku and the Barbarian, the Faces of Fear.
HTM: I caught up with what happened last week and it’s despicable that Donald Trump let it stand. Marty Jannetty interfered to help Strike Force win. He might not have been a member of the Mexi-Can-Am Connection at the time, but he conveniently joined them immediately following. I’m sure that wasn’t planned.
Solie: Normally, I wouldn’t condone such actions, but after years and years of seeing someone like Bobby Heenan manipulate the system, I actually don’t mind seeing Marty Jannetty taking matters into his own hands and getting revenge for what happened to him and Tim Horner at the hands of the Heenan Family at Trump Card.
Kelly: And their opponents, with Stacy Keibler and representing the Mexi-Can-Am Connection, at a combined weight of 446 pounds, Tom Zenk and Marty Jannetty. ……… Cut to the Finish.
Marty Jannetty goes for a body press on Barbarian, who pulls the ropes down. Jannetty flies to the floor. Barbarian jaws at Scott Armstrong, allowing Bobby Heenan to sneak around toward Jannetty. Stacy Keibler cuts Heenan off and they yell at each other. Keibler slaps Heenan to the fans’ delight.
Armstrong comes over. This allows Barbarian to cheap shot Zenk on the apron. Haku comes in and Barbarian presses him over his head and then drops him over the ropes to splash to the floor and on top of Jannetty with vicious force. Haku rolls Jannetty back into the ring and Barbarian adds a power slam for good measure before making the pin.
HTM: That was some amazing power on the part of the Barbarian. I bet Jannetty didn’t know what hit him. It was a 300 pound Tongan meteor.
Solie: And based on this most impressive win, the Faces Of Fear will have another try at Strike Force and the tag team titles. Segment: 12: Curt Henning and Joe Hennig meet backstage
Curt Hennig readies for his upcoming title match. His son, Joe, walks into the locker room, much like his father did as he was preparing for his match on the previous show.
Joe: I haven’t had the chance to say it yet, but congratulations on winning the title dad. I’m proud of you.
Curt stands with his trademark towel in his hand. He ignores the outstretched hand and gives his son a hug instead.
Curt: Thanks, Joe. I’m proud of you too.
They break off.
Joe: Good luck out there tonight, dad.
Segment 13: The Rock vs. The Big Show
Kelly: Our next bout has a 30 minute time limit and if the first man introduced wins the match, he’ll be granted a TWA World Title Shot. From Miami, Florida, at a weight of 260 pounds, the Rock.
Solie: If the Rock wants to redeem himself after losing the gauntlet cage match last week, he has to go through the Big Show. One of the largest athletes ever in this sport has been given an edge by Bobby Heenan that makes him more dangerous than ever. However, he has seemingly caused dissention in the Heenan Family due to conflict with stablemate Paul Orndorff.
HTM: Gordon, I hate you trying to put trouble where there isn’t any. Show and Orndorff haven’t been on the same page and Heenan has a lot of wrestlers he needs to work with and maybe isn’t giving Orndorff the guidance he has in the past, but the Heenan Family is the strongest it’s ever been and this is by far the greatest version of the group I’ve seen.
Kelly: And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Bobby “The Brain Heenan, weighing in at 450 pounds from Tampa, Florida, The Big Show. ………. Cut to the Finish.
Big Show has the Rock ground to the mat with a nerve hold. He screams and tightens his grip and twists into the Rock’s shoulder muscles further.
Paul Orndorff appears from the back and stands at ringside. Heenan asks what he’s doing out there. He gives the same answer Show gave him last week in his match with Rocky Johnson. He’s acting as an insurance policy.
Show lets go of the Rock and comes over to the edge of the ring. He barks to Orndorff that he doesn’t need him, just like Orndorff said he didn’t need Show.
Show turn around as the Rock charges, but instead of being laid out, Show slams forward with a mighty right hand and the Rock collapses to the mat.
Show looks over at Orndorff with a ‘that’s how it’s done’ look and stands on the Rock’s chest. One…two…thr…the Rock kicks out. Orndorff smirks.
Show goes for a standing splash, but Rock rolls out of the way. Show gets on all fours and Rock comes off the ropes with a facebuster. Show rolls to his back and the Rock sets up the People’s Elbow. Heenan shouts at Orndorff, if he’s insurance, do something.
Orndorff shrugs his shoulders, enters the ring and hits the Rock with a clothesline. He exits. He looks at Heenan and says “there, I did something.” Paul goes to the back.
Kelly: Your winner by disqualification, the Rock. The Rock will receive a TWA World Title shot.
Solie: So, there’s no dissention in the Heenan Family?
HTM: It’s there because people like you, Gordon, won’t stop talking about it. When you talk about bad things they inevitably happen.
Show yells at Orndorff to come back. He turns around and walks right into the Rock Bottom. Rock hits the People’s Elbow for fun and leaves. Segment 14: Curt Hennig vs. Ronnie Garvin for the TWA World Title
Kelly: The next match has television time remaining and is for the TWA World Title. The challenger hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, at a weight of 242 pounds, the Man with the Hands of Stone, “Rugged” Ronnie Garvin.
Solie: Although the Rock defeated Garvin in the gauntlet cage match for the TWA World Title last week, he’s still certainly worthy of getting the first standard shot at it here at All Bets Are Off.
HTM: Garvin is one of the hardest hitters and toughest men I’ve ever faced. Rock and Hennig talked at the start tonight about how they both respect Garvin and it’s certainly earned.
Kelly: And his opponent, accompanied by Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, at a weight of 257 pounds, from Robbinsdale, Minnesota, the TWA World Champion, “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig. ……… Cut to the Finish.
Hennig pushes Garvin back with lefts and rights. He covers up and when he sees an opportunity, makes with a right hand of his own. It misses and Hennig backs off, knowing not to take a punch from the Man with the Hands of Stone. Garvin advances and Hennig goes to the floor.
Heenan goes to massage Hennig and towel him off. However, Garvin hits the floor and chases Hennig back into the ring. Hennig turns and cuts Garvin off with a knee as he tries to come through the strands and stuns him. Hennig suplexes Garvin into the ring from the apron. He hits the running neck snap. A knee drop sets up the Perfectplex and
Hennig retains with a pin.
