The old "Living Room" had a board for sports, a board for wrestling, a board for entertainment, technology, news. "The Den" had boards for personal venting/ranting and beer reviews, among others. We had the "House of Stupid" that acted as a kind of catch-all for whatever didn't fit elsewhere. Basically, there were a lot of different places for discussion. We may not have the activity anymore to justify having all those boards, but a single board to encompass everything outside of the drafts and showdowns seems like it could be a good idea.
And to give credit where it's due, it was actually The Canadian Content 's idea to have a place somewhere to talk about stuff. I just liked that idea.
I was actually going to start this thread later this week, so thank you Dev.
AFC East Bills- Man, I'm REAL tempted to go Miami here. Dolphins(WC)- And if Jalen Ramsey was healthy from the start and/or you could guarantee me Tua makes it through the entire season, I probably would have. Jets(WC)- So uh, who's this new QB they got? Why does his name sound so familiar to me? Patriots- There's just not enough talent here. Especially in a division this loaded.
AFC North Bengals- Clearly the top of this division. Steelers- Death. Taxes. Mike Tomlin finishing with at least 9 wins. Ravens- Too many question marks for me to put them any higher than this. Browns- Fuck this team. Fuck this QB. Triple fuck these owners for enabling that sexually assaulting piece of shit.
AFC South Jaguars- Expecting Trevor Lawrence to make a big leap in his second year with an actual NFL Coach. Titans- Not as good as the team above them. Miles better than the teams below them. Colts- Free my guy Jonathan Taylor! Also, Anthony Richarson is going to be a Ryan Leaf level bust folks. Texans- So is C.J Stroud.
AFC West Chiefs- The Chris Jones holdout is a major concern. But assuming he comes back mid season or before... yeah, they're still the favorites. Chargers(WC)- I don't trust this team at all, but someone has to get the last wild card spot. Raiders- Davante, I still love you. You deserve better than this complete shit show of an orginization. Broncos- Let Russ cook Russ IS cooked.
AFC Championship Game Chiefs over Jaguars
NFC East Eagles- Sportswriters can make reservations to attend the NFC Championship game in Philly right now. Cowboys (WC)- Bitchtits McDumbass is calling plays now!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (Deep breath) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Inject it into my fucking veins. Unfortunately I still pick them to make the playoffs because the rest of this conference is fucking dogshit. Giants- I can not believe they gave Daniel Jones that contract. Someone make it make sense. Commanders- New owner and new QB are a good start. New coach is 99.9 percent likely coming after the season. Now get rid of this stupid fucking name.
NFC North Lions- I'm picking a team based in Detroit to win something. In the year 2023. What alternate demension have I entered? Packers- Do I think Jordan Love is going to be any good? FUUUUUUCK No. But I still think there's enough talent on this team to make a run at a playoff spot. Ultimately I don't trust Joe Berry enough at Defensive Coordinator to pull the trigger and predict it. Bears- The answer to the question "What if we just let a running back take all the snaps at Quarterback?" Vikings- Minnesota meet Regression. Regression meet Minnesota. I'll be over here laughing my ass off as you get acquainted.
NFC South Falcons- I think the best team in the division. But like Dev said, who the hell knows? Panthers (WC)- This year's Jacksonville. A competent NFL coach takes over for a college coach who was way out of his depth and leads the team to the playoffs. Saints- Meh. Bucs- The two teams I hate more than any others in this league are the Vikings (Sorry Scott, miss you here on the board) and the Cowboys. And I wouldn't even wish a Baker Mayfield/Kyle Trask QB battle on THEM. (Okay, maybe I would.)
NFC West 49ers- Clearly the class of this division. Seahawks (WC)- Bobby Wagner coming back to this defense might be the most underrated important move of the offseason. Rams- Super Bowl wins last forever but that window closed FAST. Cardinals- "And with the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft...."
NFC Championship Game Eagles over 49ers
Super Bowl Flip the script from last year. Eagles over Chiefs
