Rabbit dies of embarrassment, armadillo wins.

Armadillo is a HUGE sleeper in this thing, and here's why:

About 10 years ago, I'd just started at the toll bridge and was working night shift. Sometimes, in the dead of night, we'd have an armadillo stroll onto our yard and dig the shit out of it. Holes everywhere. One night, 2am, I caught that little bastard in the act and was gonna go chase him off. So I grabbed a broom and took off. I spooked him, and he went running for the edge of the property where there was a fence and bushes and shit. Well, he wasn't fast enough, and I made like Hank Aaron with that broom...

...except that fucking shell don't play that shit. I whacked that son of a bitch and the broom handle vibrated like a damn Bugs Bunny cartoon. My hands are stinging now and it didn't faze him one bit. I'm cussing into the night and the armadillo turns around, gets up on his hind legs and makes this hissing grunt noise at me, having obviously gotten pissed off by my antics. Having seen what he did to the yard with his claws, I opted for the whole discretion is the better part of valor thing and retreated.






It didn't stop me, however, from blasting him with a fire extinguisher two weeks later. Never saw the little shit again.

And seriously, unless animals are gonna be driving vehicles in this thing, I don't see armadillo going out for a while.
