Of all the names I was planning on taking this year, I did not expect Lashley to be the one snaked from me and for him to go in the first. This has been an interesting start. The new blood always keeps it fresh.

Recency bias is the only reason Lashley goes in the first.

Flair, Angle, Lesnar were my alternates in that order, so I'll need a new pick once Matte rolls around.
EDIT: While we're waiting for Matte, I found part of my old spreadsheet tracking all our past drafts, but it'll still take some work to get it back up to date. I added the top 100 from the past few drafts (counting WarGames as canon, since the picks were so close to normal, but otherwise omitting specialty drafts). Here are the stats of interest so far, from the records I have:*
1) Depending on how you count "zero" picks, Edge and Roman Reigns can both lay claim to the Number One Pick title for the first time ever. (Edge's previous high was #2 in OO12; Roman's previous high was #18 in Pun's 2014)
Shawn Michaels has a commanding lead for most #1s (7) with Flair and Bryan sharing the silver medal (4 each). That means the majority of the 28 drafts I've tracked were led by one of them.
2) Other highs: The Undertaker reaches an all-time high with #2; his prior high of #4 was in the very first ever draft (Pun's 2008). At #11, Adam Cole edges five points above his prior-high 2020 WarGames placement; Curt Hennig at #17 narrowly beats his high of #18 in the 2013 OO mini-draft. Kazuchika Okada at #18 makes our second biggest jump from #37 in Pun's 2018; and as noted by others, Bobby Lashley at #12 crushes his record of #85 in the second OO10 draft.
3) There are not yet any wrestlers guaranteed to land on their lowest-ever pick; the only two wrestlers to have never fallen into the 20s are Michaels and Austin (and if you exclude WarGames, Angle).
