I'm not a big fan of onions in regular cooking, but on pizza, they take on a wonderful, almost mystical quality of spectacularity. They are the greatest pizza topping.
And fuck pineapples. They belong on upside-down cake, not pizza. Anyone who thinks otherwise is obviously in league with the dark one and should be put to the torch.

The way we get around it is to call the regular kind of bacon either strip bacon or side bacon (or just bacon). Canadian bacon is never called Canadian bacon in Canada. We call it back bacon. Then there's peameal bacon, which is a whole different kind of bacon.

Here in the land of the free your average pizzeria guy is not going to have any idea what you mean by "side bacon." They might get "strip bacon" just because it describes the shape, but I think "breakfast bacon" is clearest, despite the fact that, technically, Canadian bacon is also a breakfast food. But here in the states, it's mainly thought of as a pizza topping.

Now, I hate pineapple on my pizza. Hate it. It's time for a story, people. A story of a mother in law and her penchant for pissing me off. Some may be aware of this based on my Christmas dinner rant.

Ok, so the in laws have a pizza night once a month or thereabouts. Without fail, the pizza will be ham and pineapple in spite of everyone knowing I hate pineapple. So, they say "pick off the pineapple". Even though pineapple juice has saturated the entire pizza, I'm supposed to pick it off.

So, I don't have any pizza. Not having pizza means I'm a stuck up prick, apparently. No, I like pizza. I don't like ham and pineapple pizza, so don't order ham and pineapple pizza and I will glady be a social butterfly. The point is not for me to have pizza, though. That's never the point. The point is talk about me behind my back and how they spent fifty bucks on pizza and how much is going to waste because I wouldn't eat any.

Oh, and what you Yanks call "Canadian Bacon" we call "Pressed Ham". We are the masters of beer, cheese and bacon. Tremble before our might!

Soft thin pizza, thick bready crust, lots of grease, slice as big as your head. I don't know where the fuck you buy your pizza from but I get a Large 18 inch Pizza for $8 while it costs me $15 for a 14 inch pizza from Papa Johns or Pizza Hut. NY Style kicks ass, you're just going to the wrong places.
