Recent years makes this vote much easier. We all know what Benoit was up to lately and meanwhile Booker was the highlight of the show as King Book-Ah. I don't see myself voting for Benoit any further in these showdowns.

the double homicide plays just as much part for Benoit as Booker robbing a KFC (or whatever it was) does with him, zero. I was a fan of Booker in WCW, but i always liked Benoit a whole lot more. And I am in the HUGE minority here, but I hated King Booker

For what its worth, I wasn't criticizing someone preferring Benoit. Like I said, 1a and 1b in my book. And I do think that its basically a matter of what you like. Because Benoit has Booker beat in overall wrestling resume. But Booker has Benoit beat in character and gimmick. Now if you don't like Harlem Heat, King Booker, the Golddust stuff? Ok. No different than if someone wasn't into Benoit's chain or stiff style.

I just thought that given how many matches they had against each other and how they both broke into the upper midcard by spending 6 months having awesome matches with each other that Booker's wrestling shouldn't be in question.

FUCK, this is hard. I almost don't want to vote in this round. I'm too split. You've got Benoit's awesome skills in the ring but then you've got King Booker, a gimmick that turned a wrestler I always really liked, into one of my favorites of all-time.

I'm gonna have to contemplate.
