The Faces of the 80's seemed to actually want to carry out the Good/Evil battles and let "Justice" prevail, where as the 90's and current Faces just care about looking good. Ego's, Machismo, whatever. They just want the titles/money/pussy and now admit it (rather verbally or by their actions). Exceptions occur, of course.




And Lucky, I thought you didn't watch wrestling during the 80's?

I didn't. Didn't watch until '94 or '95. My lasting memories of Dusty are "He'll go to the paaaaay window, if you wheeel!" I went back and watched plenty of stuff though and I never saw the appeal of Dusty. I'm sure he was THE face against a rabid heel group and they broke his leg and all that crap. But he seemed to kinda suck in the ring, didn't cut a very good promo, and I plain liked the Horsemen. That Dusty was the "good guy" in an era I only watched in reruns more than a decade later? It doesn't hold up, as far as I can tell.

If it makes you feel better, I like maybe 9 movies on your ballot. And I do believe I mocked Romeo + Juliet plenty at the time. I'd mock Johnny Mnemonic or Showgirls but I would have had to be able to sit through them to do so fairly.
