Week 1 is official...and what a week it was! The #1 spot rotated between 4 different wrestlers, and things were much tighter this week.
Enough talking, on with the 12-Pack!
1. Shawn Michaels (48 points, 4 first place votes, 11votes total)
"On Raw, he was the topping on the cake for the Ric Flair celebration and on Smackdown he was the receiver to the more important Batista-side to the promo." ~jetskid48
"The script was great and HBK nailed it." ~The Game Chris Cole
2. Matt Hardy (44 pts, 1 fpv, 11 votes)
"HE WILL NOT DIE..." ~DevSop
"Big week for Matt, with a pretty decent match with the WWE champ, and an overachiever of a match with MVP, with some excellent working-over of MVP's leg...Matt Hardy, your next U.S. Champ." ~Sergei
3. Batista (43.5 pts, 4 fpv, 9 votes)
"From the look on Monday Night to the promo on Thursday his performance was perfect. Big Dave can act." ~The Game Chris Cole
"I feel so dirty putting Batista here. But he was awesome on Friday night." ~Lucky
4. James Storm (42 pts, 5 fpv, 8 votes)
"Sorry 'bout your damn luck everyone else. Being able to take a gimmick I cringe seeing every time, I still want to hear Storm talk and it brought more interest in the PPV match." ~snelson66
5. Christian Cage (27 pts, 2 fpv, 6 votes)
"Because when no one else matters, Cage will always step up." ~creepy
"...this man is the MVP of the company...I dare say he may have truly surpassed Edge as the guy I most look forward to every week." ~DevSop
6. LAX of Homicide, Hernandez & Salinas (25 pts, 10 votes)
"Homicide is on the team, yet every week it seems like Hernandez is the one trying to kill Rave, and I for one think that never gets old." ~iamdoug
"Yeah, Salinas has great tits. But the great thing about LAX is the fact that her great tits are the last thing I think about when I think of LAX." ~G-B
7. Matt Morgan (23 pts, 6 votes)
"The man completed a 2-month storyline in 2 hours culminating with a face turn to end the show on a positive note for team Cage." ~ultimatejobber
8. CM Punk (21 pts, 1 fpv, 7 votes)
"He needs just two words to complete his rise and show everyone why he deserves this push: Turn Heel!" ~dxb
"...there is no denying he can bring it in the ring, and this past week bring it he did!" ~psmitty
"Two good matches, goofy semi-serious promo, plus he put Chicago stars on the briefcase, what's not to love?" ~bd
9. Sting (13 pts, 1 fpv, 5 votes)
"His comeback is the perfect example of how to use a veteran – he plays his role and is helping to elevate those around him, but he doesn’t overshadow anyone." ~wld
10. Ric Flair (12 pts, 1 fpv, 5 votes)
"...because its his last week that as a performer, we could praise him...Over an entire career though, unquestioned in how much he deserved that night." ~jetskid48
"This week he reminded me of why I watched wrestling as a kid." ~Lie, Cheat and Heart Meds
"He showed that a wrestler really can retire with dignity, and with no actual plan on how to stage his next comeback." ~TheDemko
11. AJ Styles (& Tomko) (11 pts, 4 votes)
"He's fast becoming a regular on my list. Everything about his character is just perfect." ~TheDead about AJ Styles
"Whether it's little things like covering Bubba's ears while the crowd taunts him, or bigger things like a full back flip selling of the gore, he constantly impresses me in the ring." ~iamdoug on AJ Styles
12. The Big Show (8.5 pts, 4 votes)
"Becoming something like a cult hit. Is it possible that he's more popular than ever?" ~jetskid48
Others with votes:
Kane, Nattie Neidhart (1 fpv), Undertaker, Randy Orton, Shark Boy & Curry Man, Monsters of Rock, Age of the Fall, Motor City Machine Guns, Chris Jericho, Rhino, Raisha Saeed, Morrison & The Miz, JBL, Hulk Hogan
I got n as many good quotes as I could, keep 'em coming! Serge's posting of the numbers will be a great read trust me. Watching this thing play out has made me love compiling these results each week. Next week might not be as entertaining, at least at #1...
