I showed up @ 7:45am...and was number 11 in line. I actually got bumped up one because they sold out of 16 GB iPhones to the first 5 customers. That being said, due to Rogers hving their systems crash and iTunes servers sucking balls, I didn't leave till 1:30pm.

It's stupid and silly to go through that for a phone, but after waiting 2+ hrs for the store to simply open, I figured I was committed to the cause.

Wow, I'm surprised Apple wasn't better prepared for this. It's not like they didn't just have a iPhone launch like LAST YEAR!

That said, the phone looks good. I may actually stop my apple ambivalence and get one.

I'll have to look and see about how hacking them will give me the ability to play other file types then mp3 and aac and other apps.

A lot of the delay was on rogers end.

I use iSquint on my MacBook to convert movies, iTunes takes care of music, and the app store kicks ass!

I got one too. It's pretty boss. As far as the apps, if anyone is into Texas Hold 'Em at all, there's a $5 game that is really awesome. You play against video representations of other players and they can give away the strength of their hand. It a fun and interesting game that utilizes the touch screen well. Well worth the $5.

I'm really diggin' the phone. But I've only had 2 other phones in the last 7 years or so, so anything this modern seems totally awesome to me right now.

Specifically, I'm looking to see if they'll play wma files once jailbroken, as I'm looking at breaking my apple ambivalence by getting one now that I can get my Exchange mail on.

You know...I had never sent a text message before getting the iPhone. I've sent two since. One the other hand...it's great to be in a meeting and take notes and then email them to a co-worker with your iPod.

And the iPhone uses iTunes. iTunes can play WMA files as long as they are DRM free.

Oh, and why would I jailbreak my iPhone? It does everything I want as is....some by design...and some through the wonders of the App store.

Yes, the wonders that Apple ONLY wants you to have. I prefer to get the best of all worlds, and decide for myself what my devices will and won't do.

It's typically been why I loathe Apple, their closed architecture and expensive prices.

I will give them hands down flat out praise on the interfaces though. Damn, they are fine. I never have touched an iPhone and within a couple minutes felt like I could use it no prob.

Gates still hasn't done that yet...

I had a Samsung Sync that sucked 44 different colors of cock on this site. iPhone rocks this place though. My only major issues are the keyboard designed for much smaller thumbs than mine and the battery which I'd like to last a bit longer. Still pretty bitchin though. Did you get the 3G...or 3Gs?

For me, outside of the space (16gb or 32gb), the features I have interest is are available on the phone I all ready have. I've used the voice recorder a couple of times at work, and have seen a slight increase in proper typing with the landscape keyboard for the email application.

Oh, and still haven't had the need to send an MMS.

I got the regular old 3g 8 gig. I'm not that fancy. Plus I don't have 32 gig money. I don't need it really. A modest 8 gigs is plenty for me.

This. I got one a few weeks ago RIGHT BEFORE the price cut. Oh well. I'm digging it. My old phone had room for 100 songs, this 16 gig has room for thousands if I so choose.
