If they can beat VT at home next week, and then go to Miami and beat the Hurricanes - the Heels have a legit shot at running the table, because there isn't anyone else worth a damn on the schedule. Tech, BC, and UConn all at home. After Miami, the three remaining road games are Virginia, Maryland, and Duke. I thought going in that Maryland would be a sure loss, but after seeing them thus far - losing to Middle Tennessee?? - Carolina should go in there and win that too.

the sad thing? You know damn well, because other than Penn State, the Big Ten sucks, so we could very well see Ohio State go 11-1 and be right there at the end of the year in the BCS title game discussion.

Of course, according to one of the ESPN talking heads that believes THIS is an effective playoff system, one loss and you are done. After Alabama destroyed Clemson, all I heard was "well thats it, Clemson can get a BCS game, but they have no shot at a National Title." I wonder if we will hear the same about Ohio State? My guess is no. (and they say this, with a straight face, after LSU lost TWO games and still managed to win a National Title)

Regarding that shitfest in Starkville last night: I think both teams combined for TWO third down conversions the whole game. The defenses came to play. HOWEVER... that's not enough. Auburn got exposed in a HUGE way last night and I expect to see them drop in the polls. The new offense isn't working - simply because they don't have the personnel to run the spread yet. You're telling me they couldn't line up in the I and smash it in when they had it down first and goal?? They don't have a play like that in the NEW playbook?? Then of course Byrum shanked the field goal. The final shoulda been 9-0, as Auburn's defense didn't give up a point.

Word of advice for the Auburn/LSU clash next Saturday night: take the UNDER.

I recall a recent LSU vs Auburn game that was 7-3. We might be in for that again.

On the bright side Florida should continue to put up points against Tennessee. The big question is if the defense is really as good as it has looked. First team has given up just 3 points to Hawaii & Miami. Are they really that bad or is this unit much improved from a year ago? The Vols in Knoxville should be able to answer that question better. One last scary thought about Florida, Percy Harvin is claiming he is 100% healthy for the first time since High School. I'm hoping he speaks the truth.

And the meeting in Auburn before THAT was 10-9. If either team breaks 17, I'll be shocked.

As for Florida, the Vols are starting to get some buzz around here this morning for some reason - but until Tennessee wins a semi-big game again, I can't see anything but the Gators winning by at least a TD here.

Troy went punch for punch with Ohio State for three quarters. Field position ended up killing them in the 4th quarter. Good showing though. Ohio State is still overrated.

As for that bullshit in Chapel Hill today, I'm not gonna bitch about the refs - though I could. All I'm gonna say is that fucking Mike Paulus needs to transfer to Duke to be with his whiny, bitch ass drama queen brother. NOW.

You can argue value on a few of them but Taylor, Graham, and Hilliard have had enough success in the NFL to seperate them from the QB flameouts.

Just for the record I'm not 100% convinced Harvin will be that great in the NFL either but more because I'm not sure he can stay healthy then because I think he can't play.

And the Tennessee game was really weird. The Gators won easily and Tebow didn't even throw for 100 yards. It was almost too easy. The biggest development in the game though was Emmanuel Moody. He was consistently riping off runs of 6-9 yards. If he can keep that up then Tebow doesn't need to run the play up the middle and it opens up Florida's offense. This also marks the 3rd game in a row the Florida D (starters) has kept opponents under 10 points. I'm not sure if that says anything since Hawaii, Miami, and Tennessee might just suck. We will find out soon enough since both LSU & Georgia are in front of this team.

Graham looks like the real deal so far. He was really solid in college. In fact I believe Darnell Dockett cost the Gators a shot at a National Title. In 2001 the Gators lost 2 games all year both were the games Graham was out to injury. They were had one loss going into the FSU game and FSU was getting pounded. Dockett twisted Graham's knee during a dogpile and he sat the Tennessee game that would have put us into the SEc Championship and one game away from a meeting with Miami in the National Title (which I don't think we would have won but we'd have a chance). Dockett was so dirty. He also tried to stomp on Grossman's hand while he was on the ground. What a dirty son of a bitch. The point is Graham was the backbone of that team and he never had a chance to shine in the NFL until now. He runs a lot like Emmitt actually. He is always running North/South and gets a little extra yards after the intial hit.

I honestly can't remember what Rhett did. He started for the Bucs back in the Yucks days. Can't remember if he had any serviceable seasons. Jackson might be struggling now but he was at least a number 2 for a few seasons. Gaffney hasn't proven much yet but he hasn't been cut yet so he must be doing something decent. Your the Pats fan you'd know more then me. Beliicheck realy loves the Gator Receivers though. I think he has had every one that played since 2000 on his team at some point.

Edit: Palmer & Johnson sucked in college. Did anybody expect them to be good in the NFL?
