After the Villains United and the "Six Degrees of Seperation", the villains-turned-merc team have their own ongoing, and I'm loving it three issues in. I just that long, we've gotten -A Batman/Catman fight -A break-out from Alcatraz -The Six (well, Five of them) vs. Cheetah -a new, scary villain -the return of Nightwing antagonist, Tarantula -Bane's idea of morality (Venom=Bad, Pipe to the Nuts=Good), and attempt to treat Scandal Savage's depression -Surgery-addicted contortionist freak Ragdoll being Ragdoll -What the Six are meant to be be delivering being a really clever idea that explains the amount of heat it brings down on them easily -lots of funny interactions and dialogue between the Six Simone's great at mixing action, comedy and good ideas, and has a real knack of utilising the lower-tiered or not-as-prominent characters and making them credible when in the company of the bigger players of the DCU, while being able to jump from light-heartedness to emotional and more serious beats without it being jarring. Additionally, the Six not being Heroes, but not being out-and-out supervillains makes them a really unique team in the DCU. British artist, and former Birds of Prey penciller Nicola Scott is also doing some great work on the art side of things too.
I meant to pick up the first three yesterday and blanked on it while I was at the store, now I'm in that place where I have to decide if I should wait for a trade or try for the issues.
