I was VERY excited to play GH: Metallica tonight. I've always been an admirer of Metallica's musical talent, even if I wasn't a fan of them personally. These songs are BADASS, and fun to play. But Jesus H. fucking Christ on a tap-dancing crutch, One has got to be the hardest song I've ever seen played on a Guitar Hero game.

Definitely worth a look if you like Metallica songs like I do.

Believe it or not, the One drumline was actually a cadence for my high school marching band, and I played that shit on the big-ass bass drum when I was younger.

But goddamn, I played One on Hard Bass last night, and my arms were fucking TIRED afterwards.

Anyways, I came up with a fun party game while talking to my friend the other night-- Strip Rock Band. Simple rules-- four player band... every time you fail and have to be saved, that costs you a piece of clothing. If you wanna add some extra spice, then everyone has to play on expert. If you REALLY want to add some extra spice, everyone plays on expert and picks a Metallica, Judas Priest or Dream Theater song.

It's still just in the idea phase. The game hasn't actually been tried out yet. Soon hopefully... soon.

Last year, we were playing with some friends and they wanted to start playing strip Rock Band. Whoever has the worst percantage at the end of the song strips. This was a horrible idea (for us) for multiple reasons.
1. I play for fun, I don't play to master the game or be better than anyone else. Once it becomes a competition, I'm out.
2.. This was not going to lead into anything except a few of us being naked. And I don't give a fuck about seeing her naked and I'd assume no one would give a fuck about seeing me naked. Kinda pointless.
3. She never guitared or bassed and was awesome at drums and singing. I'm decent at guitar/bass and medicore at drums/singing. But I have fun so fuck it.
4. I always get fucked up when I play, others don't. This matters.
There were a few other reasons, but whatever.


If you guys have fun with it, go for it. Depending on who you're with and what you plan on doing afterward, it will be a blast.

Say what you will about Chinese Democracy as an album, but it's going to be released this week on Rock Band and should be fucking fun to play.
