Agreed. If only one team is worthy of voting for, vote for 1 team. Don't artificially inflate other scores and in the process potentially screw over the team you liked. The only reason I'd resist such things at this stage is this is essentially a "seeding round" and the more votes made the better. But there's still no need to artificially inflate someone's rank you don't think is deserving.

Plus I don't think Fish is actually using this as seeding afterall, so forget that. I might retract a few votes now that I think of it.

Actually, I haven't given any thought to Round 2 apart from how many teams it will contain. That said, if I can work out a way to avoid reseeding, I will.

I'd just say it seems fair and simple enough to do a simple seeding based on scores. No more complicated than copying down the scores of each team and putting them in order, and screw ties. Alphabetical order, flip a coin, whatever. Just some kind of seeding that has some resemblance of "fair" and theoretically avoids playing the same guys in the 2nd Rd you played in the 1st Rd (unless you're just unlucky).

I'm pretty sure that's how I've done it in the past when the first round is more of an "elimination" round. That's likely what'll happen this time around, too. I made that post this morning under the influence of not enough sleep or coffee and too much being sick.
