I haven't used any of those so I couldn't tell you which are good and which aren't. You might wanna check out some DS forums to get some opinions on them.

OK, I am reviving this thread.

I, similar to Pun two years ago, am considering buying a Nintendo DS. Should I buy one, and, if yes, what games should I consider buying with it? I've read through the thread, but I also want to see if those same games hold up after 2 years (even though this thread was revived a couple of months ago)

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is supposed to be really good. The three Castlevania games are fucking awesome. Phantom Hourglass is awesome as well, but hey, that's to be expected since it's a Zelda game. New Super Mario Bros. and Meteos are still must-haves.

Buy N+. Right now. If you have a DS, go buy it.

Tetris DS is permanently parked in my DS.

And as for the games I used to play, you still can't go wrong with Meteos or New SMB.

And if you're up for a little quirkiness (story and gameplay), give Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (or whatever it's called) a play.

Decided to drop $13 on this yesterday. Love the simplicity already, but still how delicate you need to be with the controls to master the jumps, etc. This is gonna be fun.

Also spent $11 on Civilization Revolution. I lost many, many hours of my life to the PS3 version, and I have a strong feeling the same thing will be happening soon with the DS. Gameplay seems nearly identical, just with stripped down graphics and insanely faster save and load times.

I'm glad you've enjoyed it so far... because you will hate it soon enough.

But I say that in a good way. There were some levels that were so ridiculously hard that I was cursing the game and it's developers. But man, once you finally beat the levels like that, it's so damn satisfying. I absolutely loved the game, and really wish they'd pump out a sequel already.
