We have 11 days until Keepers are due. Start thinking guys. Plus, we're still one owner short. Anyone know anyone? We don't want to create a "Beat Me Silly" team, but that is the final option. Let Mikey or I know.

Keeper Rules
• Each owner may keep 5 players total.
• The first 5 rounds of each draft are protected and those players can not be kept.
• Each Keeper costs a draft pick based on where he was drafted. The pick moves up 2 rounds every season, including the first. Ex: A 13th round draftee would cost an 11th round pick in his first year as a keeper.
• Any Keeper not drafted is treated as a final round draftee. Ex: In a 27 round draft an undrafted Keeper will cost a 25th round pick.
• A player loses Keeper elligibility the season after costing a 1st round pick and reenters the draft pool (unless franchised).
• All rules apply regardless of owner. If a Keeper is traded or released his new owner picks up where the last left off.
• If the Keeper Cost occurs in a round where the owner has 2 picks (due to trade) he is penalized his original pick, not the acquired one, regardless of placement.
• If the Keeper Cost occurs in a round where the owner has traded out his original pick but acquired a 2nd he will be penalized that pick. Cost will not move up a round unless there are no more picks in that round. If there are 2 picks, neither original, he will lose the lowest.
• If the Keeper Cost occurs in a round in which the owner has no more picks then the price moves up one round, but will be considered its original round for the sake of longterm keeper cost. Ex: A 13th Round cost with no 13 round picks then costs a 12th round pick. For the purposes of next year's Keeper Cost, however, it will be considered a 13th Round pick. The next year the keeper will cost an 11th Round pick, not a 10th.


Franchise Rules
• Each owner may designate one of his 5 keepers a full Franchise Keeper (F1) and 1 a partial Franchise Keeper (F2). He does not have to do either.
• A F1 full Franchise Keeper may be kept without cost of any draft pick.
• A F2 partial Franchise Keeper may be kept at half the cost of a regular keeper. He continues to cost a draft pick but it only elevates 1 round each season.
• A player may be Franchised as many times as his owner wishes.
• Once a player has the Franchise tag taken off of him he can no longer be kept and reenters into the draft pool.
• All rules apply regardless of owner. If a Franchise Keeper is traded or released his new owner picks up where the last left off.

The deal with Loney only means that he's on Pun's team now. Loney wasn't a Keeper in 2010, so there no change in his Keeper level. Loney was drafted in the 10th round by Gimmick, which means in Pun keeps Loney, he costs an 8th rounder.

I tried to check my roster on ESPN and it's down for pre-season maintenence. The roster here on PH is nowhere near complete but I'm pretty sure I'm going this route...

I think we may have a problem. I had Daniel Hudson (P-CWS) on my minor league keepers. Well, clearly I wasn't paying attention, and once he got traded to the D-Backs in the Edwin Jackson deal, I never changed it to (P-Arz) and Solly picked him up as a FA.

I checked the 2010 Minor League & Transaction thread and I don't see anywhere that I dropped him or traded him to Solly, if someone else finds it, let me know.

So, it appears that Hudson is mine, and Solly is a great big cheater. I think it is only fair that Solly forfeit all his wins and the league declares me the new champion.

Moose is correct. Hudson is still his. He threw 35.2 innings prior to September 1, so he's still eligible as a Keeper for the start of this season. I changed his team in the Minor League Keeper thread.

All right, the ESPN league page is back up and running. I have activated it for the 2011 season. Before I go in and start messing with owner settings (and figuring out if we're gonna have to start a new league page at ESPN), I want to get everyone's keepers in while we have the official big league rosters intact on there.

Once we have those keepers in place and we have the final draft order set and posted here, we will go about getting new owners onboard the league page and/or making a new league over at ESPN.
