I like that you're trying to do EcoSport but man those trios teams aren't good. I can kinda support Beauty Shot but the other 3 are bad. And yet, I'm not sure I can support a 2 night card since we've never done/allowed anything like that and it clearly helps the stigma that cost me multiple votes with "too much going on." So I'm just going to treat Matte's card as 1 show and not care about the length. And that being said it's a better card.

Went Eco/SG. Vader/Shelton might not be ME material in my eyes, but it is still a great matchup. And I dig the Scramble Gimmick if not all the participants.

I think the 2 day thing is skirting the spirit of the rules a little. There is some good stuff there, but nothing that screams "Must See" to me. But I'm Old and Matte and I's tastes have always been different

So Dev said I'm doing something we've never allowed. Shark said I'm skirting the rules. I read through the rules to make sure I wasn't doing anything against them, so I have to disagree. The rules say to put on an event. I'm putting on a two-day event. But fuck me for being creative and thinking outside the box.

There's nothing wrong with doing a 2 night event totaling 14 or so matches. I've seen single cards with that many matches, plus we've got many shows with pre-shows and pre-pre-shows.

And of course, I have no problems with Matte's two-day card (I think at least one other person has done it before, leaving aside all our pre-show stuff). Probably my #2 card out of this round - I just think Benjamin/Vader, Daniels/Lesnar and Liger/Guerrero hold up well against it, along with our title matches.

(Trios was just a little bit of sports-entertainment-y fun and a hat tip to you, Dev - you obviously had some real main eventers in your division. Having tiny AJ as the chihuahua of the snarling Pitbulls, matching two half-normal/half-insane characters in 90s-era Mr. Backlund and "Waylon Mercy knows how to throw a picnic"- it's how I like my pre-shows, fun and light.)

Thanks, Eco. And the reason I did the two-day wrestling festival thing was to have a big finale for my fed. Eco is basically the final boss of wrestling drafts so I knew, being the fourth seed, I wasn't getting passed him. I had fun.

I liked the 2 day concept. I voted for EcoSport but had a harder time this round deciding. It was the 2 day concept that almost swayed me actually to vote the other way. Don't they start things on one show and finish on the other in wwe? Same difference really.

No problem with the two day show concept, outside of it just being way too much. In real life I wouldn't even want to get close to something like that because I know I would hate it. So, I went with EcoSport like usual. And, like usual, liked most of their match-ups and concepts. (But,yes, there's too much going on there too.)

Broken Matt Hardy v. Brother Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde Hardy
Matt Hardy gets the initial upper hands with weapons strewn about by his gardener Senor Kung Fu Naki, but after getting his flaming weed whacker designs foiled by a tackle into the river, Sin Cara takes control - but after seeing a beatific vision of his parents, botches the senton out of the tree and crashes through a park bench. There is a CGI explosion for no reason.

Emma and AJ open with some silliness - Emma going full bubbles, AJ being coached into barking at Emma - then we move to Hector as Face in Peril for a bit, but Art Barr closes us out with a frog splash onto Anthony Durante following a hot tag.

Beauty Shot (Tyler Breeze, Terry Taylor, & Angelina Love) vs. Lacey's All-American Boys (Bob Backlund, Waylon Mercy & Lacey)
Team Lacey keeps snuffing out hope spots by pure size and brute force - Taylor narrowly avoids being pinned by Mercy, gets to Tyler who hits a Beauty Shot out of nowhere but Backlund saves Waylon - Tyler looks to be done in the Chickenwing, but he gets to Angelina with the long reach, and once the women are in, Angelina reverses an Implant DDT attempt into a Break-a-Bitch Backbreaker for three as Tyler stops Mr. Backlund from breaking it up!

Desmond Wolfe (c) v. Bad News Brown v. Elix Skipper 

Hot back and forth between the three with the audience split - Brown brings the power, Skipper brings the flight, and Wolfe tries to match them in between. Wolfe is rewarded with a pin twelve minutes in on Skipper when he reverses a dive attempt into a Tower of London cover. Wolfe goes back and forth with Bad News, Bad News looking tired, but Wolfe comes off the ropes and eats a GHETTO BLASTER! One-two-three!

Bad News Brown (c) v. Taka Michinoku

Just as Bad News Brown is delivering a promo running down Skipper, Wolfe and the locker room, TAKA MICHINOKU comes down with his Leo Memorial Fireworks Flippyshit Briefcase of Destiny! He's cashing in for the X-Division Championship Match! Brown tries to put down Taka fast, but Taka is too fast for the tired Brown, and scoops the giant man with a Michinoku Driver II for the championship!

Los Gringos MUY Locos (Art Barr, Hector Guerrero, & Emma) v. Beauty Shot (Tyler Breeze, Terry Taylor, & Angelina Love)

Both teams show their exhaustion from earlier - Emma and Angelina open with a near-fall each, and then tag Barr and Breeze - something of a double turn as Barr and Guerrero are putting a hurting on Breeze and the fans begin to rally around Tyler. Tyler looks to be very close to a hot tag finally as he fights Barr off, but Barr just barely holds him back - and Breeze hits a Beauty Shot out of nowhere, taking the pin himself! Hector and Emma are too slow to interfere!

Brock Lesnar v. Christopher Daniels

This is the first great war of the night. Daniels gets the best of the first couple minutes floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee, but Brock gets a good takedown off an attempted enziguiri, grounds-and-pounds before going to Suplex City - at the third belly to belly, Daniels improbably gets off a suplex of his own on Brock, throwing springboard shots and dropkicks until Brock is out of the ring. Daniels uses the stairs and barricade as friends, but on a second suicide dive attempt, Brock catches him with an F-5 on the floor - but Daniels kicks out when rolled in the ring. Round two of Suplex City commences, ending in the Kimura Lock - Daniels fights his way out, gets a rope break, and fights off a takedown attempt with a sharp knee that busts Brock open. Daniels goes mad to open Brock up further - but Brock catches him off the Best Moonsault Ever, powerslam, F-5, KICKOUT, second F-5, Brock takes it.

LAX (Homicide/Hernandez) (c) v. Dean Malenko & Psicosis v. Shinjiro Ohtani & Tiger Mask

All three teams specialize a bit - LAX dropping Psicosis and Tiger Mask through tables early on, Ohtani and Tiger Mask introducing ladders into play and making LAX pay back through some timely tip-overs and back body drops, Psicosis recovering by swinging chairs while Malenko uses chairs to assist his submissions. In the end, while Malenko's chair-assisted armbars take Hernandez out of play, Ohtani and Tiger Mask are rewarded for their ladder focus when a Tiger Mask headbutt drops Psicosis off the top ladder and lets Mask pull down the championships! We have new tag team champions for the first time in MCW!

Eddie Guerrero v. Jushin Liger

These men receive a great standing ovation to start, but once they begin, they don't work by the hour, flying across the ring (and almost gliding when on the ground). At minute eight, we get a four-minute sequence of chain wrestling - Eddie breaking a surfboard attempt, and almost winning with the Cloverleaf before Liger gets the rope break. Liger surprisingly starts to take Eddie down with power at minute twelve - Liger Bomb, Crash Thunder Buster, Eddie somehow kicks out of the brainbuster to crowd gasps. Jushin goes to the top and gestures broadly that he wants to skip the Shooting Star and go for the Frog Splash - but Eddie hits the rope and Liger tumbles into the referee! Eddie hits a quick low blow, shrugs at the crowd, and falls down holding his own jewels as the referee gets up. Eddie goes for a Cloverleaf - kicked off, sharp kick from Liger, hooked up, BRAINBUSTAAAA - but Eddie kicks out AGAIN! Liger is pissed, goes for the Liger Bomb - Eddie reverses into a Victory Roll - did he have the tights - not clear enough, Eddie gets the win!

Becky Lynch (c) v. Trish Stratus v. Winter v. Taryn Terrell
Each woman gets a chance to hold the title once (Becky with an early exploder on Trish at 4 minutes, Winter with an Ice-Breaker to Trish shortly after, Trish with a Chick Kick to Winter at minute 11, Taryn reversing a Stratus-Faction into a Running Cutter at minute 15) but right toward the end - Becky manages to send Stratus over the ropes on top of Winter, leaps over on Taryn, wrenches the Dis-arm-her to force a tapout at 19:26 that hands the match to Becky as she plays defense for the last thirty seconds.

Shelton Benjamin (c) v. Vader
The champion Shelton Benjamin is all amateur background to start, trying to ground and control the big Mastodon . . . which he does for a few minutes until Vader powers out and starts throwing him around with impunity. One sharp toss on the outside launches Benjamin onto the steel steps and busts him open early at the twelve minute mark - the announcers speculate it might be opening wounds from last week's match with Lesnar. Vader does all he can with stiff shots to open Benjamin up, but isn't quite going for the pin. Benjamin catches him with the knees off of a Vader Bomb attempt, and then another couple sharp kicks take Vader down to his knees - but Vader reverses a shining wizard into a chokeslam for a near-fall! Vader throws Benjamin around a little more as the champion's blood stains Vader's pale skin - but Benjamin gets a couple chopblocks that take Vader down again! Benjamin tries to cut the big man down with kicks, and then gets an AMAZING side suplex off - but Vader is back up quick with sharp short-arm clotheslines. Finally, it's Vader Bomb time - but Benjamin reverses into a roll-up - Vader kicks out, but Benjamin maintains control with a HEEL HOOK! Benjamin holds the heel hook on the injured leg - Vader lasts a minute, but is forced to tap for only the second time in his career! Shelton Benjamin retains.

Day 1

The Great Sasuke vs. Super Dragon
A mixture of brawling and high-flying to start things off. Dragon capitalized on Sasuke's recklessness; after Sasuke missed a senton atomico from the stage area to the floor, Dragon followed it up with a curbstomp on the concrete for the win.

All Night Express vs. Can-Am Express
In a well-paced tag match, All Night fought as the underdogs, seeing all their hope spots preyed upon by Can-Am. In the end, Can-Am was too much to overcome, as they hit All Night's own powerbomb/neckbreaker combo on Titus, allowing Furnas to get the pin for his team.

Low Ki vs. Masato Tanaka
In a bout as stiff as you'd expect from these two, Ki showed his determination, surviving shots that would've maimed most men twice his size. The final spot saw Tanaka setting Ki up for a superplex, but Ki reversed it into a top rope Ki Krusher and followed up with the pin.

Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Hayabusa vs. The Hurricane
A fast-paced, ECW-style cruiserweight affair. Not much powdering out to get the easy one-on-one contests going; these guys focused on well-timed three-man sequences instead. Tajiri dodged a shining wizard from Hurricane and transitioned into a buzzsaw kick, followed by the first elimination by pinfall at 9:22. Tajiri and Hayabusa went at it for another ten minutes until Hayabusa dropped Tajiri with an H Thunder, followed up a Phoenix splash for the win.

Raven vs. Steve Corino
Corino went into this match as the "King of Old School" and wanted to force Raven to quit via wrestling only. Raven used his psychological advantage to slowly force Corino to play by Raven's rules over the course of the match. Lots of bloodshed and lots of weapons. The final spot saw Corino fully engulfed in Raven's mindgames—setting up a table and lighting it on fire—only for Raven to outsmart him and take advantage on his own setup. Raven sent Corino through the flaming table, then held him in a crossface with a strand of barbwire until he had no choice but to quit.

Jeff Hardy vs. Finn Balor
In a match that every woman in the audience was looking forward to all night, Balor brought out the best in Hardy. Hardy played the veteran role well, while Balor played the role of the rising underdog to a T. It was a high-flying, spot-heavy match. Hardy had Balor laid out for a Swanton, but Balor got the knees up and pulled off a desperation Bloody Sunday before heading to the top himself and finishing Hardy off with the Coup de Grace.

Bull Nakano vs. Sensational Sherri vs. Luna Vachon vs. Roxxi Laveaux vs. Aja Kong vs. Su Yung
This was what you would expect to see in an elimination chamber: violence, innovation, drama, and a little bit of blood to top it all off. Nakano and Kong were the first women in the match. Without a fall, Yung was introduced as the third. In a huge unexpected move, Yung eliminated Kong after a diving tornado DDT at 9:45, moments before the fourth competitor was welcomed into the match—Vachon. The three continued on, with Yung powdering a lot to allow Nakano and Vachon to put on a clinic, until the fifth woman was announced as Laveaux. She immediately intervened in the Nakano/Vachon struggle and Yung pitched in to allow the underdogs to take control. Another few minutes passed until Sherri, as the last participant, was entered into the match. Yung, with another intelligent move, surprised Laveaux, whom she'd been working with in the match, with a backstabber and eliminated her with a pin at 23:12. Her celebration was short-lived, however as Nakano eliminated her after a sit-out tombstone piledriver at 24:33. The penultimate elimination came at 29:50, when Nakano and Vachon devastated Sherri with a double team move; Vachon held her across her knee in backbreaker position, while Nakano came off the top rope with a guillotine legdrop followed by Vachon scoring the pin. Down to Nakano and Vachon, they went at it until Vachon floatover-reversed Nakano's tombstone attempt and transitioned into emerald flowsion for the final pinfall.

Chris Hero vs. Frankie Kazarian
An exciting opener, with Kazarian doing a lot of flying and Hero doing a lot of abruptly halting Kazarian's flying. In the end, Hero forced Kazarian into submission with a Hangman's Clutch variation.

Dalton Castle vs. Trent Baretta
This was the token comedy match, but both competitors kept it serious enough to still be respectable. Mid-way through the match, Castle went to the outside and retrieved one of the two burlap sacks from ringside, which was to contain either hard candy or Lego. He dumped the bag into the ring to reveal hundreds of Jolly Ranchers and Lifesavers. He attempted the Everest German suplex on Baretta into the candy, but Baretta reversed and hit a back suplex of his own into the candy, but failed to score the pinfall for his efforts. He then went to the outside to retrieve the second sack, and dumped it into the ring to reveal the assortment of deadly Lego. The two fought over and around the Lego death pit for a few minutes until the big moment came: Castle hit a high knee and followed it up with the Everest German suplex into the Lego for the win.

Mex-America vs. Canadian NINJAs
A non-stop action tornado tag match here. Sarita and Matthews paired off, while Rosita and Perez paired off, for good portions of the match. Several near-falls saved by partners, several double team moves both thwarted and connected. The final spot saw Matthews send Sarita flying to the outside of the ring, allowing the NINJAs to hit a superkick/German suplex combination on Rosita, giving Matthews the win for her team.

Ultimo Dragon vs. Tiger Mask
In the quintessential puroresu/cruiserweight competition, Dragon and Tiger went at it full-force. High-flying, stiff striking, innovative offense, creative defense. Neither man scored a fall until the final five minutes, wherein Tiger pinned Dragon after a Millennium suplex and Dragon pinned Tiger after a Dragon bomb. At the 30-minute mark, a 1-1 score forced the competitors into sudden death overtime. Another five minutes passed before Dragon reversed a Tiger driver with a back body drop, Tiger landing on his feet, then surprised him with an Asai DDT and a leg hook for the final fall, putting the score at 2-1.

The Great Muta vs. Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Shinya Hashimoto
Plenty of hard-hitting, neck-bumping wrestling in this one. Several near-falls were broken up by the third man, setting off several switches of opponents when the one-on-one sequences took place. The ending saw Muta attempt to spit the mist into the eyes of Hashimoto, only for him to duck and have Misawa receive the brunt of the attack. Muta then swung at Hashimoto, who dodged and sent the blinded Misawa tumbling over the ropes to the outside before engaging with Muta, blocking and reversing a dragon suplex attempt and turning it into a vertical drop brainbuster of his own to score the pinfall.

Kota Ibushi vs. Johnny Mundo
The BMW Ultimo Puroresu, Ibushi, appeared to be equally-classed against Mundo here. This was a drool-inducing match for fans of puroresu, Lucha Underground, cruiserweights, innovation, spectacle, etc. Very convincing near-falls, with both men kicking out of finishing moves on multiple occasions. Ibushi ended Mundo's attempt at dethroning him with a superkick reversal into a superkick of his own, followed by a 450... followed by hitting Mundo with his own finisher, Starship Pain, for the three-count.

Seth Rollins vs. The Undertaker
In the first of three stages, the dominant Taker took it to Rollins and finally put him away with the tombstone piledriver at 17:37. The No DQ portion saw Rollins get creative with his weaponry, in addition to a possible low blow at one point, in order to keep Taker down for the three at 26:42 after a curbstomp onto a steel chair. The final stage, TLC, saw a lot of back-and-forth, with Rollins displaying his quickness and Taker using his power to stop him. The final spot had Taker take a tremendous tumble from the top of a ladder set up inside the ring through a stack of tables set up outside of it, harking back to the same spot he took against Edge at One Night Stand 2008, allowing Rollins to climb the ladder and achieve the 2-1 win over Taker to close out the show.

I guess Pun is still the default tie-breaker? I'm fine with Matte finding someone else to serve the tie-breaker of the tie-breakers (as someone about to fail the bar, I don't care much about conflicts of interest )

Of course, in a wrestling tournament, when you have a tie in the semi finals, the winner of the OTHER semi final gets a bye in the finals and is declared the winner of the entire thing.
