JOBBERS! Any loong time fan remembers these lovable losers who spent every weeks staring up at the light, once again on the losing end. Even though they seemed to pass through, suffering loss after loss, in reality, they were some of the most important people on the roster. Ever wonder why long time jobber, "Mr. Unpredictable" Johnny Rodz, was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 1996? It is because, at one time, without anybody being aware of it, Johnny Rodz was possibly the 2nd most important roster member outside of the World Champion. How can that be you might ask. It's pretty simple really. Throughout the mid 70' til the late 80's, whenever a new talent came in from a different territory that the McMahons were not familier with, his first week with the company was touring the loop against Johnny Rodz. At the end of that week, Rodz would report to the office, and with a simple thumbs up ir thumbs down, determined weather you were going to be just another body on the roster, or weather the office was going to feature you with a push. Johnny Rodz, and a few others were so good at waht the did, and so trusted by the office, that their approval or disapproval determined the fate of so many wrestling stars, that it is hard to quantify their overall effect on the industry. Even those who didn't have that kind of power, still left their silent mark on the buisiness by, week after week, making the star attractions look like a million buck in the eyes if the fans.
It is with that in mind that I bring to you, AJPW. All Jobber Pro Wrestling. The worlds first wrestling organization dedicated solely to the unsung heros of the wrestling buisiness.
