Day Four: You know the old belief that New Yorkers are rude pricks? Well today did NOTHING to dispel that belief. They are, for the most part, rude as fuck who have ZERO comprehension of basic respect. Also, they cannot drive for shit, and have NO patience at all.

We got into town and drove around the stadium, it was nice I guess. The new stadium looks really nice. Then we headed over to Manhattan and took a look around over there, unfortunately we never made it to ground zero, but it was nice to drive along the water. We decided to go see the Statue of Liberty, which was pretty cool, though I had no idea that you had to go to New Jersey for that. We did, and it was pretty cool to see. Then back to the stadium. The game sucked, and like I said before, being in a stadium full of Yankees fans was no picnic. Some were cool, but most were the loud obnoxious douchebags that I have come to expect. Anyway, the game sucked, the bad guys won, and I had to start hearing rumblings of EAT THAT SOX or some other shit.

In closing, I fucking hate New York, I would never live there, and if I have the chance to go back, unless it is to tear down Yankee Stadium or Shea Stadium, I think I will pass thank you very much.

I have to admit that the park in Jersey where you can see the Statue of Liberty was VERY nice, the rest of Jersey? Well I haven't seen that yet. Coming into East Brunswick to stay, it was dark, and it was kind of odd, the highway wasn't lit up at all, so really, you have no idea if you are driving into a shit hole or not. I suspect that is not an accident.

And I don't automatically hate all New Yorkers, I liked the folks up in Utica and Schenectady, but in the city, just holy shit. My uncle has to use a cane to get around and these rude motherfuckers would just kick the cane and cut in front of him like he wasn't even there. Just all around rude as hell. I won't say EVERY New Yorker in the city is like that, that would be a ridiculous generalization, but lets just say New York didn't leave a great impression as far as the people go.

Sadly, our schedule didn't let us take the stadium tour at either park, which really sucks because it would have been great to see both. From where we were sitting I could see Monument Park - barely - and it looked really cool. Being at these two parks, you were really struck by the history of the places. So many legends played on those two fields it is really kind of awe inspiring. As for Yankee Stadium itself, it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be, and while it was not crumbling, it is probably time for a new one. I was surprised at how much bigger it is than Fenway.

I wish I could have met up with Lopez, Tommy, Sop and anyone else right in these areas, but in my rush to get things together for the trip, I forgot to get their info so I could let them know when I was going to be in town. And honestly, we haven't had nearly as much time as I would have liked for sight seeing and all that, so it probably would have been mostly a wash anyway.

I did get to try a Sabrett from a vendor on the street, good dog. Today we are going to Philly and you bet your ass I am getting a cheesesteak

Oh, and the closest they did to a roll call was the Hip hip Jorge thing. Yeah that got annoying after ten minutes.
