So, since the other one got thread-jacked, I figured I'd put up a new thread to tell you all a little bit about my honeymoon.
First of all, there's this picture:
That was taken in front of some of the Mayan ruins in Cozumel. We had a fantastic time in Cozumel, and a really shitty, rainy time in Grand Cayman. But then again, we could have had a WORSE time in Grand Cayman, due to Hurricane Poloma. We missed it by a day or two, and actually traveled through it while it was still a tropical storm.
The cruise itself was awesome. All of the stereotypical stuff you do on a cruise, including 24-hour pizza and ice cream buffets, cheesy pictures in front of a ship wheel, silly Vegas-style shows, lots of freakin bingo, and an on-the-ship mini golf course. The food was WONDERFUL. There was a night where they were serving Maine lobster tail, and I wound up getting like 3 of them (they were fairly small). We were treated like kings and queens, and everyone somehow surmised we were on our honeymoon (what with all our 'just married' t-shirts and bride/groom hats and all.
And the alcohol! Jumpin jesus tap-dancing christ on a pogo stick, I've never been this drunk in my life. The 'Drink of the Day' specials were a knockout. About 3 of these tall glasses of tropical alcoholic gay-man fruity drinks, and I was on the floor. We spent about $400 on our liquor bill over the course of the week.
We've got a lot of pictures from the wedding and the honeymoon. I'll post 'em when I have a chance to create a photobucket album for everyone to see.
As for the wedding itself, it couldn't have gone more smoothly. We had an outdoor wedding, just outside the reception hall, so we prayed for a clear sunny day. Fortunately for us, it rained (since that's supposed to be good luck for any wedded couple on their wedding day or something), but it rained about 20 minutes after the ceremony ended, so we were able to get in some pics outside before the storm hit. VERY lucky.
The food was great, the liquor flowed freely (I still have absolutely no idea how we got away with a 6-hour open bar for 90 people for less than $1200), the dancing was good but not cheesy (okay, fine, it was cheesy), the presents were many, the cake was DEEEEElicious. Our friends all told us that we throw a good party, and that they'd love to come to our next wedding, LOL.
Anyhow, that's about all for now. Let me know if you're interested in anything specific about the wedding/honeymoon (except for that, you perverts!), and I'll be happy to share.
In the meantime, I'm gonna go make dinner for my wife, the Present Mrs. Demko (PMD). :-D
